Superman….Insane!

The Headline read, Cyber attack: hackers 'weaponized' everyday devices with malware to mount assault.”

Several of the world's best-known websites were inaccessible across parts of the United States on Friday after hackers unleashed a series of attacks on a company that acts as a switchboard for the internet.

The attacks affected access to Twitter, Paypal, Spotify and other customers.

"The attacks came in waves,". "First targeting the East Coast of the United States, spreading then to the other parts of the country and even to Western Europe."

"The websites that were disrupted were some of the top names in the internet: CNN and the New York Times, AirBnB, Reddit, HBO ... a whole variety of sites were attacked."

The attackers used hundreds of thousands of internet-connected devices that had previously been infected with a malicious code that allowed them to cause outages.

"This type of attack is known as a distributed denial of service attack [DDoS]," explained our correspondent. "They used affected computers to fire requests at the servers simultaneously and essentially overwhelm it."

Attacking a large domain name service provider can create massive disruptions because such firms are responsible for forwarding large volumes of internet traffic.

The disruptions come at a time of unprecedented fears about cyber threats in the US, where hackers have breached political organizations and election agencies.

The US government has formally accused an unknown Super Villain known as MR_EVIL_OVERLORD in the cyber attacks.

The US Department of Homeland Security and the FBI said they were investigating the attacks

"We still don't know who is responsible for this attack.’ "But it certainly seems to be an attack that took coordination and possibly a lot of resources. So this is not some teenaged kid in a basement somewhere hacking for fun.

"The purpose behind their attack is also very vague since nothing was stolen. It was just disruptive, so some people are theorizing that someone is trying to figure out how to shut down the internet."

That someone was “Evil” and he was never caught. The US Government theorized that a small band of Super Villains were able to steal 5 Billion in a matter of seconds across the globe.

SUPERMAN…..WARCRIMINAL!

@Marcel had been a Colonel for 7 years. He remembered his first missions and the mentors he had throughout the years.

Nothing had prepared him for the day Superman went insane. CNN Headline, “Superman Kills Avengers and Justice League.”

Marcel couldn’t believe Superman had gone to the dark side. It was almost impossible to conceive. A man who stood for virtue, righteousness, and the American way had suddenly changed.

Scientist speculated that Earth’s mightiest hero had been infected with Kryptonite poisoning. The truth is no one knows why he attacked the Avengers, Justice League, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men that fateful day.

After the super teams were killed the rest of the heroes and villains went into hiding.

Superman had gained control of the militaries of the world and one by one he was making his demands to world leaders.

Marcel pondered the mission in front of him. His mission parameters came from the very top.

His commanding General knew Marcel was one of the men who could turn the tide and he challenged him to recruit people capable of stopping Superman.

Marcel had heard about a clandestine Super Villain who could take down Superman.

He looked at the small number of people and wondered how he would ever find them. One person stood out to him.

Little was known about the “Ghost”. His code name was MR_EVIL_OVERLORD. The file on him was small. In 15 years, he had stolen over 450 billion dollars and that is only what they knew about.

He studied Evil’s file.

EVIL – Genius Level Intellect, Engineer, weapons manufacturer, and Hacker

Identity unknown.

Age unknown

MR_EVIL_OVERLORD is an inventive genius whose expertise in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science. It is believed that he holds advanced degrees in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer engineering. Much about him is unknown.

His expertise extends to his ingenuity in dealing with difficult situations, such as difficult foes and deathtraps, in which he is capable of using available tools, including his exo-suit, in unorthodox but effective ways. His exo-suit enhances his strength, speed, armor, stealth, and while not capable of flight it has jump boost technology.

Well respected in the business world, he is able to command people's attention when he speaks on economic matters.

While wanted by the law he has hosted numerous Ted Talks.

He claims to have built up several multimillion-dollar companies from virtually nothing. He is noted for the loyalty he commands from and returns to those who work for him.

Based on fighting styles he has been trained in MMA style fighting and Krav Maga both considered military training.

Evil possesses great business and political acumen. On multiple occasions he has admitted to building multibillion dollar startups, hacking, and being a billionaire from both legal and illegal activities.

1st CONTACT

Marcel had been investigating for 5 months with no leads. He had never faced failure finding anyone before. Sitting at his desk he pondered how he would break the news to his boss.

His phone rang…..

“Hello” he answered looking at the unlisted number.

“I’ve heard you’ve been looking for me”, the voice on the under end of the phone answered.

Marcel could not believe his luck. Evil had called him.

Over the next few hours Marcel briefed Evil on the situation.

Marcel knew he was playing with fire. Pitting a Super Villain against one of earth’s greatest heroes. He had no other choice. Superman had to be stopped.

SUPERMAN SUPREME RULER

Superman had set up a speech on the steps of the Supreme Court building. He began by listing his demands, telling the world that he was now in control.

The world shivered as this single man told the world that they were now under his control.

Around the world citizens and governments received this message.

The collective sadness stymied the human spirit for hope.

OUT OF THE SHADOWS

Superman was standing delivering his message to the world when a red laser beam hit him in the eye. He howled in pain as the high energy blast had eviscerated his right eye.

The crowd looked back trying to identify where the laser came from.

Standing in the crowd stood a man in armor.

Superman flew over to the man in armor and pulverized him…..

After the dust settled the cameras showed that it was a robot and not a man.

Superman held the robots head in his hand and crushed it.

His eye was bleeding profusely and it was clear that his right eye had been destroyed in the laser attack.

Fireworks lit up the sky in all directions.

Rock music emanating from all directions cranked out AC/DC’s back in black….

By this time the crowd had run to hiding spots and there was mass panic.

Sonic cannons hit Superman from multiple directions.

The frequency of the cannons, disorientated him, and brought him to his knee. His nose began to bleed.

A lone figure floated above the scene.

Superman used his super speed to run around the cannons and destroy them. He flew toward the lone figure and flew right through him.

The figure floating in the air was hologram.

Additional floating figures appeared. Using his super speed Superman engaged them as well.

He raged unable to hit this unknown attacker.

A loud thunder bolt rang out and hit superman. The man on steel plummeted toward the pavement. The crowd looked up as a single figure appeared.

“Leave the Super Crimes to the professionals Superman.”

Superman flew at the lone man at the speed of sound. Another bolt of lightning hit him as he plummeted back down to earth. Five more lightning bolts hit the man of steel as he hit the ground.

The song “Welcome to the Jungle” pumped out from all directions…..”You dare challenge The Evil Overlord”. Windows shattered in cars and buildings throughout the city.

Superman yelled back “This planet isn’t big enough for two Super Villains”.

The man in black yelled back through his amplifier “Oh you are a Villain alright just not a Super one.”

Superman yelled “yeah, what’s the difference.”

“Presentation” the man in black yelled back.

Superman hurled himself at the man in black.

Another hologram.

Stand and face me the man of steel yelled.

“I’m right here big blue” the voice came from the speakers where Superman was listing out his demands to the world on the Supreme Court Steps.

In an instant, Superman landed with a thunderous BOOM!

The lone man in black walked out to him. He was clad in black armor and had a big Jolly Roger Flag on his cape.

Worldwide there was a large gasp, someone was finally standing up to Superman.

Superman moved at super speed to punch the man in black.

A force field protected the man from Superman’s fists.

Within seconds Superman fell. His powers draining quickly. He yelled in anger “How are you doing this!”

The man in black teleported behind superman and within seconds stabbed him multiple times through the chest with a small sword coated with green material.

Superman swung backwards and his punch was caught mid-air. He was flipped on to the ground. The man in black pummeled the man of steel with his fists. The man in black was in Superman’s half guard and he plunged the sword into Superman’s chest for the final time.

The fight was over….

“Nano-robots” the man in black shouted as Superman took his final breath.

I coated your body and lungs with Nano-robots carrying Krypton payloads…equipped with explosive devises.

The man of steel turned red and began to smoke…..

Evil stood up and walked 10 feet away.

Superman’s body exploded from the inside out. Blood and guts liquefied and exploded.

“People of earth, I am a friend,” and I consider us even for my previous crimes.

The man in black dropped a black ball where Superman’s body had exploded.

The air around him sizzled and he was gone. According to the news reports, he had used some sort of teleportation device.

Two seconds later, a black hole sucked the concrete and Superman’s remains into another dimension.

Camera footage showed that he had dropped a black hole type of grenade.

The Evil Overlord disappeared and was never heard from again.

To many he was a friend, to others a criminal, and to many a savior.
