First of all, sorry about the long as Chile title. :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm sure we're all familiar with the 40 punishment ban protocol which has gone into effect a few days ago.
If you tend to be explosive and cyberbullyish and are a few punishments away from being banned, may I suggest that you request a year long mute, or longer. It won't count towards the 40 punishments.
During your time of silence, you could try to work on your behavior, or you could stay muted forever.

Personally, I would ban people after 10 offenses.

40 is way too many. That means at minimum someone was talking trash a lot of other times and never caught.

    My ,02 cents

I'd say 70-80% of offenses are caught and punished, thanks to /chatreport.

I definitely don't think it's 70%- 80%, if you're on kitbrawl 6 hours a day on the weekend like me. You would see toxicity take over. And I agree with @MR_EVIL_OVERLORD Should be 10. Maybe 15

Maybe you should use /chatreport more often.

I'm taking any requests on year long mutes. Just PM me. (I just want a free mute).
10 is way too less. If anything between 20-30.

I like this. Maybe some would prefer less than a year, seeing as how the 40+ rule only applies to most recent 8 months.

And if this idea interests anyone, but they are worried about communication, you can always talk to others through /msg, TeamSpeak, forums, skype, etc..

I heard any punishments from the 20th on don't expire in 8 months according to the 40 punishment protocol, or am I wrong, @Lord_Roke?

I would, but when I /report mods just don't see it :/. I don't expect an immediate response to /chatreports, but /report should be dealt with immediately

Recently, JMods can now resolve chat reports. So, they're getting resolved a lot faster than they use to.

The problem with using /report to report a chat violation is that staffers won't be able to see it.

Oh I understand the difference between the two report systems. And one shouldn't be used in the other one's case, with exceptions. I'm saying me reporting a hacker isn't dealt with as immediate as it's suppose to.

Well, you know several JMods were promoted to Mod recently, and I've noticed an increase of hackers being banned.

Yup, I'm grateful that they did that.

Issue is, my 2 mutes are both from personally unwarranted chatreports, one of them being from the hacker I was flaming (lol). 10 mutes could mean a lot of people get hit :C

This'd be way too small, since a lot of people get muted from /chatreport when they're just joking about in team chat, since a few people decide to do the command even on their friends in team chat, so its hard to tell when they're joking about and not causing any harm. 40 punishments in 8 months is a good amount, in my opinion.

I just don't understand how it can be so hard to not break the rules :L

    I agree with @Lekosa1 .

How hard is it to not break the rules?

    And why all the excuses?

I think people should get 10 mutes in 12 months. That would clean up the language asap.

Some people are just cruel. I'd name names but that wouldn't be right.

I would agree with this if mutes were only given in obvious cases.

40 chances is an easy number of chances to defend. Its hard to argue against it. Some may argue that it is too low, but those at least agree that it is better than nothing.

    Edit:
    My tip:
Do not break the rules. Theres no reason to.
