Playing Brawl on 1.10.2

    I don't like the hassle of switching between 1.8.9 and 1.10.2. I switch between the two in order to play on Brawl or my single player worlds. When I do that, some of my settings get defaulted, and I have to readjust them to my desire.
    Could I just play Brawl on 1.10.2? Are there any disadvantages?

    Not all gamemodes are compatible with 1.10. You might also experience some glitches on 1.10 that you wouldn't get on 1.8.

    I just play 1.8 always, no disadvantages, everything runs smoothly.

    Vanilla power that's similar to X-ray with 1.10 which I use rarely
    Turn on the sound display.
    When someone walks by, in chat: player footsteps.
    When someone opens a door far in render. In chat: door open. In skype: Who opened a door? Friends: No one? What happens: open fire
