    Has anyone watched Legend of the Galactic Heroes yet? If you haven't you should give it a try (unless you're not an anime fan) it's so dense and the story is so well written. Basically it is about the two warring governments known as the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance. There is no bad side, but there are many corrupt leaders in both governments. There are a variety of characters within the story, all of which differ greatly due to their ideologies and motives. The space battles are so well orchestrated and the mind games are pretty good too (not Death Note level but still good). It may be my new favorite anime in terms of story and characters.

    Sounds like edgier Star Wars.

    Might give it a try if it's R-Rated or AO.
