Other The Happenings Of Sheriff Slack

Ever wonder what the sheriff slack was like? Well now you know!

Past sheriffs and current sheriffs marched into the sheriff headquarters. It was decided that today, like everyday, they were going to change Wild West for the better. Everyone stepped inside the meeting room, where they were going to put a stop to the ridiculous nonsense that had been happening for oh so many months. The room was sparsely decorated, with one large rectangular table taking up most of the space in the room. The seats were strategically positioned around the table so as to show favoritism quite easily. At the far end of the table was one seat, which was meant to hold the head sheriff, but he had been missing for many a week, so it was almost always vacant. Instead randomcitizen1 had taken up the honorary position of head sheriff at the opposite end of the table, but he too was missing from this meeting. Everyone took their seat not fully knowing who was to lead this conversation. Before they could start the door, which had previously been shut, creaked open to reveal the secretary, Verlyn. Behind him a another secretary walked in by the name of JadeHouseofNight. Now each secretary held a notebook and a quill, the reason for there being two secretaries was to fully document the proceedings from a sheriff and bandit perspective. The dog iMingo also trotted in, but he was quite literally kicked out the door by AmericaIsDoomed (Breezepelt), whose only part in this is to kick the dog out.

To break the icy silence featherpaw inquired about the peaceful processing event. You see the sheriffs never wanted for this processing day to ever exist, but the bandits threatened to mount a full assault on the innocent town of Frisco. Deppresso cleared his throat and gave his report on the situation, "We warned the bandits that if any of us sheriffs should hear a single gun shot, we will rush in and arrest the criminal." Before Deppresso could continue Crystalizations stood and pointed an accusatory finger at Depresso, "You and the other sheriffs were waiting for us to make a mistake, you were waiting on the hill hoping to hear gun fire." Already the two secretary's were scribbling away in their notebooks, probably giving their party a slight edge in their notes. "Let us keep things nice, eh?" said Gehenna_Beam. Crystalization ignored the warning, and angrily spat, "We never had a chance in all of this, you hear a gun shot, you rush in and force us to the ground at gun point, and before we know it we are locked up tighter than cattle on the butchers slab." The ever so wise charlottethegirl cleared her throat and said, "It is quite unfair that you promised us a peaceful day for us to do possible illegal activities, yet you stand within 100 yards of us waiting like a shark to snatch it's prey." The ever smart mouthed enderdragon3615 calmly said, " It doesn't really matter, lets just give them this win... They need it more than we do." With that the fuse to the bomb was lit. Crystalization stood suddenly, which sent the poor wooden chair toppling over. Pointing across the table to enderdragon3615 he angrily demanded, "What the (blank) is that supposed to mean!" Enderdragon shrugged nonchalantly before replying and said, "Well a few weeks ago we sent your gang back to the slums with their tails between their legs." Crystalization would have leaped across the table if TheTrogs wasn't sitting next to him to hold him down. After a few moments to regain his breath Crystalization growled just loud enough for everyone to hear, " We have to bathe in dirt, we have to fight off your messed up group of sheriffs, our life is expensive especially to pay off our ridiculous bounties so we are not permanently tossed into the cells. You live a life of luxury, we have a life of constant war."

The table was silent for a moment, mainly to ponder what was just said, but the secretaries were more than happy to have this slight reprieve. Crystalization then turned his attention on Deppresso, " You are the worst of all, with your charging in and handcuffing us all." Deppresso shrugged and simply said, "It's in the handbook, and that is what I follow." Crystalization turned a slight shade of raging red, " Just because it is in the handbook doesn't make it right, I have read it and I know every word of it. Don't use it as a shield to justify your actions." Deppresso shrugged once more and replied, " It's in the handbook." Before Crystalization could come up with a slightly decent retort enderdragon3615 stood from his seat, careful not to send it flying, and said, " Listen, you of all people should understand that we sheriffs must uphold the handbook at all costs, and if we don't then we are no better than you and your bandit friends." Crystalization looks at enderdragon3615 with disgust and says, "How do you even sleep at night, do you have a revolver under the pillow? If you keep this up then you are likely to get killed in the night." "Is that a threat?" retorted enderdragon3615. Kommune, who had been silent through most of this stood and said, " Right now the sheriffs are worse than the old gang, CardX. We arrest the weak players, and outnumber the stronger players. We are trash, Deppresso don't take offence to this but you are trash." With that Kommune sat down. Deppresso gaped at Kommune, and so did most of the room.

For the next hour or so Deppresso, enderdragon3615, Kommune, Crystalization, charlottethegirl and a few others debated and had heated arguments. The other bandits and sheriffs gave occasional interjections, but as time went on the arguments grew steadily worse.

"Ender, it's your morals that are killing the game!" by this time Crystalization was a nice shade of purple, and it looked as if he was being choked by some invisible force. DarkTitan_ , who had also been silent through much of the debate rapped his hand on the table, as a judge would do to silence the crowd. " Relax everyone, there is no reason to get so stirred up about this." With that DarkTitan_ leaned against his chair subtly reaching down for his revolver, in case the situation got to out of control. Again the mixture of bandits and sheriffs ignored wise and solid advise. Kommune calls enderdragon3615 blind, Deppresso points out that we are whining about pointless matters, Kommune takes the side of the bandits, TheTrogs uses sound wisdom to help explain the situation, iMingo trots back in, goes to the bathroom on the floor and then leaves, and name calling ensued. By now things were getting far out of control and every sane person in the room, which not very many, knew what was inevitably about to happen. After one particularly nasty insult both Kommune, and Deppresso grabbed their revolvers and pointed them at each other. Everyone else reached for their Masuer or Revolver as well, waiting for the first gun shot...

Before anyone could pull the trigger the door was kicked off its hinges by a metal boot. The coach gun pointed at the ceiling and fired. Randomcitizen1 realized that he has just shot over a dozen shotgun pellets into their new ceiling. Everyone froze staring at him with their jaws hanging. "What the (blank) is going on in here, I am away on important business for a few weeks and you disintegrate into tumbleweed? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I look at most of you as friends, but here I see you pointing guns at one another, ready to blow each others brains out. Now put those weapons away and leave, we will reconvene once we all have cooler heads." Everyone was very quiet with downcast eyes. The only sound in the room were wood chips falling from the ceiling were randomcitizen had shot it. Enderdragon3615 slowly placed his gun on the table, though he did not realize that he had been pointing the revolver the wrong way the entire time. Slowly everyone else followed suit until the only people that had their guns out still were Deppresso and Kommune. Eventually they both dropped their guns on the table. Quietly everyone stood from their seats, but most had been standing already. Everyone walked out the door without speaking a word, many with their heads hanging low.

So there you have it, of course this is my opinion on the situation but everyone will have their own opinion. I gave us a setting, but all words said were said by the people on slack. I have not used the entire conversation because it was very tiring to read through for a second time. Thanks for reading

Oh and @Muuminpappa, I don't look at you as an opponent, and if you feel that I painted some people in a good light than I am grateful for that. As far as I know random did metaphorically blast a coach gun on slack. Also the fact that so many people who were not directly involved in the slack argument liked and agreed with the way I place it shows that I am not the one who misinterpreted the slack argument.

 

That was the idea
