    Brawl Junior Moderator Application

    Read over this thread: https://www.brawl.com/threads/14752/
If you do not meet the requirements (active, helpful, must have TeamSpeak, etc) do not apply yet; it will be an auto deny.

What is your in-game name? -
My current in-game name is OverKilll_ as it has been since last January.
The old names I have played on brawl with are GoldenDestroyer3 and MasterDestroyer2.

Is your Minecraft account secured and migrated? -
My account is very secure with a strong password and it is migrated. No one has access to it in any way, shape, or form and I intend to keep it that way. If I am accepted, I will change my password to a 100+ character password to ensure security on the account.

    How old are you? -
I am 14 years of age.

What timezone are you in? -
I live in the Pacific Time Zone (PT) on the west coast of the United States of America.

Are you multilingual? Can you speak multiple languages? -
At this point in time, I am fluent in the English language (American), specifically meaning that I can apply correct spelling and grammar when speaking and typing. Additionally, I am able to understand different forms of English (from different countries or regions) even with coupled different accents. I am also currently studying Spanish in school and I believe that I would be able to proficiently understand a conversation that was conducted in Spanish if a situation required it.

What is your experience and knowledge of Brawl? -
Wow! This really takes me back!
I began playing on the brawl server on November 28 of 2013, mainly playing Mc-War and Mc-Warz with my school friends. None of us were very good at the time, but we still enjoyed it thoroughly.[IMG] [IMG]
1 year after joining Brawl, I started to get more serious about Mc-Warz. I was still playing with my real life friends, but the new map had just been released, and my friends and I were well acclimated to it. I also began voting and recording, which paid off, because I learned how to combo and my friends and I began to dominate other players in the lower zones.
    [IMG] [IMG]
On Nov 23, 2015, I finally joined the Brawl forums and downloaded teamspeak. This was a very critical time in my Brawl career, because this was my first major step to becoming a true member of the Brawl community. Despite this step forward, I took a major step back when I applied for staff the next day, just to see what would happen. I deeply regret this, and I look back now and realize what a mistake that was.

Fortunately, I got very lucky one day when I was on Teamspeak. A blind stroke of luck landed me in the same channel as another Mc-Warz player, and after talking and playing with him and his friend for a few hours, I eventually was invited onto their team. From there, I purchased Lifetime MVP. [IMG]
Over the course of that year, I went from team to team, and again in April I applied for staff. I thought that I would have had a better chance because I had a purchased a rank and was a member of an exceptional team, but due to a lack of activity over a combinations of all of the platforms, I was denied. On the other hand, I learned what I needed to do if I really wanted to become a moderator. After two failed applications, I decided to switch gears get my reputation up within the community, as I was not a very well known player. I had also tried to meet with more members of the community because I had really wanted to get to know as much of the brawl community as possible. Most importantly, I finally upgraded from an Apple Mac Mini to a Custom PC that I assembled myself. This now allows me to play at very high frame rates while watching teamspeak and OBS on my other monitor all at the same time.

What is your experience with moderating servers, if any? -
Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to be a staff member on any popular public server. Fortunately, I was the only owner and administrator of a small server that I had created by myself from the ground up. Last year, I began port-forwarding my own server to my friends, which was a very valuable lesson for two reasons. Firstly, being the only person in charge of a whole server meant that I had to make sure that everyone is kept in check and followed the rules that I had placed all of the time. Additionally it now means that now I roughly understand how to run a server and understand what it takes to maintain one.

Why do you want to become a moderator on Brawl? -
The main reason that I want to become a moderator on Brawl is because I want to help the community be restored to the good old days. I remember talking to all of the old players in chat and everyone being so kind and considerate, staff and members alike, and there were barely any hackers or DDOSers in the less toxic community. Servers were even full at times, and I had a blast (yes, even as a noob). If I am accepted to be a staff member, I would work to help the community be restored to how it was.

Have you ever used a hacked client before? -
I have never ever used a hack client ever before, looked at a hack client download, watched a hacking tutorial, or anything even remotely related to hacking other than watching reports of hackers. Despite this, I did take the time to research the common hack clients used on Minecraft servers in order to best prepare myself for a staff position.

Aimbot - There are many different versions of this hack, but basically, it just automatically aims at the targeted player (It can be seen if a player turns their head rapidly when they shoot. This is also referred to as a “headflick” by many players).

    Anti-Knockback
    - Also referred to as antikb, this makes it so that the player does not have any knockback when hit.

Auto Armor - If the player picks up a better piece of armor then he/she already is wearing, it is automatically equipped (This is detected if a player is moving and they equip a piece of armor that is not in their hand).

Auto-Eat - A common hack used on Warz allowing the player to automatically eats food in order to regenerate
health without actually eating (This is detected most commonly by cans coming out of a player while they are not holding some type of food) .

Blink - Allows the player to freeze their character, walk to the destination, then unfreeze where they moved to (This can sometimes look as though the player has a high ping or is “lagging”, but this is detected when a player hides behind a block when they blink and then have a lower ping if you check it after they have blinked).

Fastplace - This allows the player to place blocks more rapidly, which can be used to eat faster to “tank” in Warz. It may also be used to combo faster (Usually can be detected if a player is comboing at a faster than average speed or regenerating health more rapidly than average).

Fly - Player can fly around the map (Can be detected if player who is not a staff member is in the air and not falling).

Jesus - This allows the player to walk on water.

Kill Aura - Automatically attacks surrounding players and may extend the reach of a player (Sometimes someone who is using Kill Aura will make the mistake of being AFK (Away From Keyboard) but still attacking surrounding players. Like fast placing, it can also enable the player to hit faster).

Nametags - Highlights other players’ nametags, making them larger, brighter, and/or visible when they shift (Can be detected if a player knows where you are if you are hiding or snuck up on them).

    Reach - Extends a player’s reach.

Regeneration - Automatically regenerates the player’s health (can be seen in /poof as a mod I believe).

Speed Hacking - Well, this one is obvious, as it basically allows the player to move faster. Luckily, the new anti-cheat is helping greatly with this.

Tracers/ESP - Draws a line from the block/item/mob/player to the cursor and shows a hitbox where the player is (Can be detected if a player knows where you are if you are hiding or snuck up on them).

Have you ever been punished (banned, kicked, muted, etc) legitimately on a public Minecraft server? If so, why? -
I have never been punished in any way on any server on any platform ever in my lifetime at all. The only time I was ever kicked from any game ever in my lifetime was because I got stuck in a block on Mc-Warz and was kicked for flying. No joke!

What do you consider your greatest strength? -
I consider my greatest strength to be my dedication. This is my fourth year of playing on Brawl and I enjoy it just as much as the day I joined it. This love for the game allows me to keep my cool even in the most heated fights (not limited fights on Warz, I am also referring to fights between players in teamspeak).

What do you consider your greatest weakness? -
Unfortunately, I think that my greatest weakness is my learning curve. Many of the crucial parts of being a member who contributes to the Brawl community are things that I have only recently began doing. Because of this, I am mostly unknown in the community, but know I do believe that I have learned a lot and I think that I am able to use my knowledge wisely and impartially.

I know that recently I have made some mistakes because I did not know any better at the time, but I am of the opinion that mistakes are proof that you are trying. I have learned from these mistakes and I have made myself a better member of the Brawl community because what I have learned from them.

Which Brawl server(s) are you most active on? -
I am most active on Mc-Warz, but I also enjoy Mc-War, especially now that War 2.0 is almost complete!

How many Brawl staff applications have you made in the past? -
I have made 2 Brawl staff applications in the past, but I am not very proud of them.

What is the date of the last application you submitted? -
The last time I applied for staff was on April 7, 2016, and I was denied the next day.

    Do you have TeamSpeak?
Yes, I have downloaded teamspeak and use it to communicate with team members.

I understand that I have had less activity than desired, but I have been VERY busy with finals, and they right after that I went on vacation.

Anything else you would like to state? -
I am a very accomplished musician. As of this point in time, I am able to proficiently play orchestral percussion, such as the cymbals, the snare drum, and the marimba. I am also very knowledgeable in the ways of music theory. Additionally, I own and can play a drum set and have taken 4 years of piano lessons. Despite all of this, my most notable accomplishment is my singing. While the combination of males and singing classical music is usually disgraced in our era, I am a member of a world famous choir in which I have recorded a CD at Skywalker Ranch (the same place that all of the soundtracks to the Star Wars movies have been recorded), toured to South Africa to sing with Drakensburg Boys Choir, been quoted in a public newspaper twice, and sang in Carnegie Hall. Good boys choruses require an unparalleled amount of precision and focus from every boy, demanding both teamwork and individual effort at the same time. Each rehearsal, which lasts 3 hours and occurs once every week, requires us to stand for 2 hours at a time and fine tune even a single piece of music for up to an hour. To give you a point of reference, the average time that a teenage boy is able to focus on a single task is about 15 minutes. In addition, we learn important skills such as being able to memorize large amounts of music and text, dedication, tenacity, sensitivity, and leadership within our choirs. An example of this in my choir was when I was appointed to the role of assistant head chorister, meaning that my friend (the head chorister) and I were in charge of making sure 200 boys were on task throughout every rehearsal and performance over the course of a whole year. In addition to this, through choir I have performed main character roles in 2 professional operas by West Bay Opera and Fremont Opera Company. In these operas, and despite my age, all of my colleagues and bosses held me to the same standards as all of the other adults, forcing me to apply my maturity for extended periods of time, keep my cool, and have fun all at the same time.

I do have a YouTube channel that I have posted a few videos of my friend and myself as I have mentioned in my experience and knowledge of Brawl, but I will not be disclosing it. I also have a channel dedicated to just my account (Overkilll_) and I will start uploading to it once I have finished designing and preparing a few more things for it.

If by the end of this application anyone has any questions that have not been answered, I am happy to answer any questions you may have about me or my application either on the forums or on teamspeak.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my application!

If your application is accepted, you will move on to an interview on TeamSpeak.

Really nice app (you even sorted the hacks alphabetically <3), and you have a completely clean history. The only thing that's lacking is your forum activity, which should be worked on but it is not a huge deal. +1, good luck.

I don't really know you that well but holy crap! That application is amazing! It has so much detail. I love it. Other then that I've seen a lot of talking among the staff members about how nice and helpful you are.

I have known you on warz for a long time now, and within the past year or so I have never heard you get salty, rage, or flame anyone. You are probably one of the nicest people I know on warz. As said above, your forums activity does need some work, but I don't think that should be much of a problem. Have another +1.

We are in need for WarZ staff and you seem like a good candidate. Friendly, helpful and active. As stated above, your forums activity needs working, but I can let this slip by for now. Best of luck.
