    I believe that it's difficult to get community input when the community doesn't even know what's being considered for the future of wildwest. So I'm going to take a leap of faith and show you all just that. Seeing as this is a different way of doing things, a few things need to be recognized before we dive in. :v


    1. Nothing here is confirmed.
    Yes, it's been somewhat discussed, but that doesn't mean that it will be implemented.

    2. This probably won't happen for some time, if at all.
    No #soons here. I'm trying to avoid a hype explosion. :v

    3. While your suggestions are definitely appreciated, please recognize that they are suggestions.
    Sorry, but this is a Brawltatorship, not a Brawlocracy. :v

    Like this sort of transparency? Make sure this is as beneficial for everyone as possible. I think you guys can be trusted to do that. Prove me right so I can keep doing this. :v

    Gameplan.exe
    Armor: Leather, gold, and iron buyable. Diamond is vote crate exclusive.

    Guns:
    There will be no legal or illegal guns. Instead, there will be 12 guns in all. 4 tiers of pistols, shotguns, and rifles. Tier 4 guns are vote crate exclusive.

    Ranks
    : 15(?) ranks progressed through using reputation. Unlocks buyable armor and weapons from the guilds' stores. Other things can be unlocked as well like buyable personal houses. This would replace the current housing system, or the current housing system would only be used for hqs.

    Guilds: Sheriffs, Bandits, and Indians.

    Sheriffs- Can use all guns. Kills rogues on sight. Can only damage rogue bandits or any indians. A bandit attacking a bandit goes rogue. A bandit attacking a sheriff causes all bandits in an x block radius to go rogue. Sheriffs can't cuff rogues or indians. Can't farm/process drugs. Can cuff and ticket bandits with illegals. Can see bandits with illegals via a different nametag. Ticketing sends bandits to jail and stores their illegals in the sheriff's inventory. Can sell illegals to a contraband npc at sheriff stations. Drops inventory on death.

    Bandits- Can use all guns. Doesn't go rogue for attacking indian players. Can farm/process drugs. Gains bounty (jail change? Bounty cap + cooldown on /bail?). Can turn self in to judge npc to go to jail and mine off bounty. Can bribe the judge to clear their bounty. On death, keep bounty but loses items. On arrest, keeps legal items, but goes to jail.

    Indians- Can use pistols, bows, and axes. (Bows tiered like armor and at full charge bring the opponent down to roughly 1 heart. Axes 3 shot the tier they correspond with.) Indians are kill on sight with no penalty for other guilds. Can't wear iron armor (can wear diamond, but that's crate armor, so it's rare). Can't go rogue/be tracked. Can track bandits with the highest bounty and nearest bandit/sheriff within x blocks. Can buy slightly faster horses. Sells heads for x times more to an npc at indian camps (scalping). Their bows and axes can be sold by sheriffs and bandits to a collector since they can't use them.

    Rebel Bases-

    3 would be guild bases. These would need to be taken over by members of the same guild to process there. Indians and bandits would compete over processing and sheriffs would just try to stop them. Members of the same guild can't hurt each other here.

    2 bases would be team bases. Only one team can take over and process there at once. These would be more profitable than the guild bases and Indians and Bandits would be able to kill fellow Indians and Bandits there. The team cap would start at 4, but if experience shows that's too small, we can raise it. Perhaps also with a penalty such as decreased processing speed for every non-teamed player in the base.

    Reputation: Like experience and used to rise through the ranks. Gained by killing, harvesting drugs, mining, processing (drugs/ores), and killing npc indians. Lost by dying or getting arrested. How much should be lost is questionable, but it shouldn't be too punishing. Each guild gets slightly more reputation in different areas. Bandits- processing drugs. Sheriffs- Mining and processing ores. Indians- Harvesting drugs.


    There you have it. Please ask questions and make suggestions. I might make other threads specific to focus on suggestions for individual parts of this one if this proves to be too much to focus on at once. Have at it m8s! :v

    I would like to clarify that with this update, there will be no more need for the current sheriff application system. Upon login, a player chooses the guild they wish to be in. Please note that measure will be taken to prevent abuse of this system.

    Although being an Indian seems fun, it also seems a little unfair, or a little weak.

    Maybe give the Indians free access to calling in a group of Indians (skeletons) at any given time, and will fight for your cause?

    I feel like Indian would be a really really cool role, but you'd have to make it good enough to be appealing.

    I think the team cap should be raised to 5 or even 6.

    May I suggest a rock, paper, scissors formula for the guilds? You don't have to consider it. It's just an idea I'm throwing out.

    I just don't really understand how a rock-paper-scissors system would work for choosing a faction (I will call them factions, it flows easier for me)

    The tiers of guns make it seem too much like WarZ or War, i personally like how there are legal, illegal, and sheriff guns atm. The iron armor would make it odd, and the diamond armor only found in crates, i don't think matches wild west. Oh and one more thing, are you planning on using that tobacco field? ;>

    Bandit does extra damage to indian, indian does extra to sheriff, sheriff does extra to bandit, etc.

    I thought he meant when choosing a faction.

    Bandits are the enemy of the sheriffs, and vice versa. Indians can KOS both those factions, and vice versa. They pretty much balance each other out?

    Yeah, to clarify to everyone in the dark about this, it's pretty much all inspired by a server that @TheMafias, @Crystalizations, and others were going to make. And naw, no stealing m8. :V Maf gave everything to Brawl for us to do whatever we want with. :v Just because you coded a test server with some of this doesn't make you the owner of it. Before giving all of his ideas to Brawl, Mafias was planning on either making his own server or getting a different network to put it up anyways.
