From the depths of time, this temple was undiscovered for centuries. Until now...

For the best effects, turn your brightness wayy down!
Not sure how I can expand this in the most efficient way, as I don't want them to become the new blacksmiths or desert temples, especially as a temple this old would have been looted by now, right?

Maybe have skeletons in there as the people who "died" searching for the treasure? Then you have to go through a few traps to get some really decent loot? Then again, people can just break blocks :v

Read the thread on the loot part, but a skeleton spawn point might be nice

Why are there bookshelves in an old temple?

    Because it's an old temple.

Not neccesarily. It makes the interior more interesting, but you have a good point :stuck_out_tongue:

Could be more interesting if the walls weren't flat etc.

What's the best way of doing that though, without tightening the walls too far?

Add jungle leaves that act as vines dropping from the walls and ceiling, adding stairs and slabs into the floor as detail. Adding more pillars on the sides of the wall.

Better but I'd still like to see the leaf vines.

add some more intact support pillars, it looks kind of goofy that that room is almost like floating (bottom room with chests)

That's the point. Its weight has driven it deep into the ground, and I feel that it would be very crowded with even a few support pillars.

This build should be quite a lot bigger. When I think of an ancient temple, I think of some huge, overgrown building, not something the size of a bunker underground. Would also let you add more detail inside, too.

It's a WIP, but I'm thinking of expanding it by no more than 2 more rooms as it isn't meant to cover the entire map.
