    There should be an NPC by the houses so new players can easily get to one and buy one. I don't see why there isn't one right now.

    I don't see why or how the signs are inconspicuous or hard to figure out.

    I think what Titan is saying is that it's easier to use a compass to find houses/house npc instead of trying to find them by using signs.

    The NPC would be a way for players to track the houses so they can find them more easily, they would not replace signs. That being said, signs aren't very obvious and it provokes a lot of questions from new players when they try to rent a house.

    There are really no signs actually telling you where to go. It's quite confusing for new players.

    This is kind of 'noob friendly'. I agree it's not hard to figure out but you know, some players prefer easiers and fasters ways to do things.
