Mojang May Now Ban for VPN Usage

Didn't @Cuddled (@Canoodle) get her account locked for that? If so it's been like this for a while

 

Which do you choose? Risk getting DDoSed or lose your Minecraft account?

 

Pretty sure that's a China related issue, due to their strict regulations. I know plenty of people who only use VPNs and play minecraft with no issue for months.

I could be wrong; however, this seems like something Mojang would have made more clear.

 

I've tried logging in with my VPN and it gave me the Incorrect PW message. Disabled it and it let me log in again.

 

When Mojang was cracking down on the reselling of accounts, often they'd lock accounts that were being logged in from more than 1 IP, which I'm pretty sure is what had happened to Cuddled.

 

Wait Cuddled bought that account? Oh ok

 

That's not what he said. He said that the account logged in from several IPs, doesn't mean it was bought second hand.

Let's say I log in to my account at home, under IP x.x.x.x, then the next day, I go to school and log in on one of those computers under the IP: y.x.y.y. My account is now at risk of being locked.

this has been around for quite a while. if you have the original transaction id you will be fine

 

My account got locked last year because of that. It took me like a month to get it back, it was really annoying.

 

If I were to have my account locked I'd literally be screwed. The email associated with my account has the domain @msn.com though when msn transition over to hotmail my domain changed and it deleted all of my inbox.. soooo..

 

@wintergreen3 As far as we are aware they aren't doing this. If people who use a VPN get their account locked it's due to the fact that their account is linked to more than one IP address.
