Events, Events, Events!

I hope everyone gives a round of applause to snax and particularly greenpeas for the work they have put into this, and the new army camp that was implemented over the weekend!#@ THANK YOU BOTH!#@#!@
We plan on doing these events every weekend or every other weekend, so make some good ideas!
I know that the new army camp has been the source of new fights, and changed some of our playing styles. If we can keep up some of these changes we could be well on our way to bringing back WarZ.

King of the ladder, Juggernaut, Brackets, etc. all of these would be fun!

 

• What Events would you like to have?

Give us a versus mode where players battle against hordes of zombies.
Give us more PvE and less of the recycled, rage-inducing content.

A few ideas:
1) Survival games set in a part of a WarZ map.

2) An event where entire server has to battle either a giant zombie or hordes of zombies.

3) Free elite day/week.

4) Horse race 2000 - a server-wide horse race where you can go on a murderous rampage.

5) Labyrinth - a giant, monster-filled maze with high walls and a lot of cool stuff going on. We could adapt the Glade from the first book of Maze Runner (as cheesy as that would sound).

6) THE GREAT WALL - Basically, a giant wall which players have to hold against a ton of zombies.

7) Atlantis - a hidden zone 6 city under the water

8) HARDCORE WARZ - deadly af zombies, permanent injuries and permadeath.

Make sure that the events can be played by European players as well. I can't participate for **** in any of them because they are at like 1 AM.

 

Alright! Keep up the good ideas, and here are a few of my current thoughts on the ideas that you have brought up. I am going to forwards this message to peas immediately.

1. This is an extremely good idea, the only issue is that it may require completely new coding for a short time, although we may be able to build a glass dome and manually put in chests of loot. Is that the sort of thing that you are talking about?
2. I'm not quite sure if the majority of the WarZ community would be interested in this due the lack of loot that would be gained from it.
3. This seems like a reasonable prize, would you be thinking of perhaps doing this with a 3v3 competition? or maybe pair it with an ffa/survival games as you mentioned before.
4. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to this, however there would be a HUGE amount of lag if this were to happen.
   
5. This would take a very long time to organize/build.
6. Again, I really am not sure that the majority of the community would enjoy this...
7. This is a pretty interesting idea! On the old map there is currently a zone 5 that most people do not know about that is underwater that requires a scuba helmet to access. This would be pretty interesting to add in! We will certainly consider it as there is no use for scuba helmets at the moment.
8. This would not necessarily work as an event but could certainly be a good thing to post as a new thread in server ideas!

Again thank you for putting as much effort into it as you did! I hope we have more people coming up with ideas!
EDIT- just noticed the last part, and we will try to find a time that will work for everyone. We will post a poll asking for a time that will work for as many people as possible soon.

I don't know what it's called but you could hide like 10 Signs or 10 Diamond blocks on the map & the first one to give you the exact coords of the diamond blocks would win like mvp or something

You make me feel bad! It can be ;v but F3+A really only shows player's and other entitys, so It wouldn't affect this

 

Eh. They still call F3+a :x Someone found something that can be only found with xray, and said "Oh hey look! I found something while I was F3+Aing!" God some people on WarZ sketch me out with F3+a

In the past the player turnouts for such events have been very successful and i fell this will continue if such events were to come back.The first thing i would like to bring up is that if events are to happen then they should happen frequently so that everyone has a chance to participate.In addition to my previous statement i fell such events should take place during a weekend at a time that suits all time zones so EU,us and Au players all get a chance to win.Secondly i fell events such as King of the ladder or kill a selected person should be scraped because these such events become repetitive and very time consuming and usually turn out in a lag fest.I suggest events that can easily be won without the factor or your team size or the amount of friends you have online.Events such as a 1v1 ladder or a team ladder could work as events and even maybe an occasional drop party or give all to players so even newer players can experience us veterans day to day gameplay. Thirdy there events would have to be monitored by multiple staff as there would be that 1 group of players who would hack and try to spoil everyone's fun.For the prize side of things i fell in larger team based events rewards could be picked by the player(s)that win and could be from:A monthly rank,Gift cards for brawl.com,Diamond,Weapons and maybe be able to have there alts tped to zone 6s.(Just Ideas)For solo orientated events i fell that the above rewards would be suitable and also maybe to bring back the old golden helmet that people such as luckypop had back in the day or even have access to and extra row of enderchest in which they can use.Staying on the subject of rewards old rewards such as event guns (Flamethrower,Rpg and minigun) should either be scrapped or recoded as the flamethrower is completely useless as this current stage of the game and the minigun does little to no damage however the rpg seems fine currently.In addition to this last point i feel if event guns are to stay or make a return recoded then event ammo should become lootable rarely in stacks of 4.

since there was a new zone 6 recently added, i was thinking about this new way to have events. this will be a "team" event however. like the new zone 6, "milita," there is an underground tunnel system. what i was thinking is that there should be a maze system, leading to a cornucopia, FILLED with chests of loot and rare items. however, this maze will be big enough to where there will be all kinds of mini fights. there could be areas in the maze that could be campable, escapable, and fightable. this type of event would be something new to the community, and very fun.

this was just off the top of my head btw, needs more explaining for you guys to get the real picture of what i'm trying to say.

 

Wait a minute, this thread looks familiar... oh yea, every few months the current active warz staff post a thread about what events people like, and what times they want them, and then they host an event, consider their work as a staff member done and resign. Fun.

 

Maybe 1 day with loot boosters and pvp off so it gives people a chance to loot.
DROP PARTY BATTLES. Putty used to do these pre much every month or two and they were so fun.
And when Warios team were at industreal inside a cage and everyone was given 3/4 to go kill them.

 

there's a lot of good ideas here, @Sn4x5 , please try to set up an event ASAP. WarZ needs these.
