Stop muting 1 hr later

I get it, reports need to be arranged and decided, especially regarding hacker reports, but chat reports should not be given selective punishments after a long amount of time has passed. It's irritating to be muted for one thing said more than an hour ago for 10 minutes. Why not just establish a system where there are only chat reports within the last 30 minutes or so? Unless the offense is very serious, which of course should be considered to last longer. However, reports such as flame, minor hackusations etc shouldn't be prone to receiving punishments MORE THAN AN HOUR AFTER THEY WERE SAID. The topic could have changed, mutes are meant to calm down a situation or to stop it from worsening, after a long time passing things most possibly have changed within the chat so mutes would be unnecessary after a while, even if there was harm in a chat discussion, it would've passed and it wouldn't have continued further

EDIT: Don't compare chat flame to hacking, it's different in its own right. A hacker would've done actual harm statistically speaking, where they might have killed players/easily won due to an unlegitimate advantage. Flame is controllable and is stopped by a mute, but if a flame war or whatever stops without the necessity of a mute, then it shouldn't be handed over as a punishment, no harm was done whatsoever stats wise

 

correct me if i'm wrong but aren't warnings handed before mutes? That's afaik with the new system, so if anything warnings should be handed out for older reports, as to know that they've been seen but they should be careful

 

still recall when you wrote a suicide encouragement message and the report was never dealt with ;v

 

it was reported by more than 1 player (because i was told) yet it was never resolved lol

this is another example from this issue in the system, as you cannot remove mutes from your record

yet another example that this is immensely flawed, if all rules that are broken should be punished for why arent they dealt with later, as @Miskey said?

because of those 2 examples having reports that are dealt with later just makes little to no sense at all, as some , might be lucky enough to evade it even with the use of /chatreport . Better to let everyone go from the broken rule than let some be punished and most ignored and forgotten about

 

that's beside the point, there are instances where that kind of situation actually does happen.
