1. I didn't think I would get it anytime really, and I'm not sure why everyone thought I would. The first smod wave was an obvious pick for MrDasky because he was here the longest, and was contributing more to everything than I was. For the second smod wave, I thought I was probably going to get demoted because I hadn't been on any brawl servers for a month or so, simply because I was bored. I think that @Rhoske is doing a fantastic job at managing the map projects and so much has changed on build under his leadership. As a side tangent, most people and staff feel that they will be able to change their gamemode for the better if they just had 1 rank higher. I often see this with idealistic people applying for JMOD, mods hoping for SMOD, and even certain SMODS hoping for admin. In the end, brawl's administration is a big bureaucracy where one person cannot implement ideas without going through an organized chain, and you really aren't going to be changing much with a new title. This is a big reason why I'm not hoping nor do I care much for a promotion.

2. The only thing that could possibly revive brawl is a popular minecraft youtuber deciding to do a series on one of the newer servers such as wildwest. To me, that would be the only thing that would have noticeable results on the network numbers. Anything else, including new gamemodes, more coders, advertising, etc will have negligible effects after a month or so in my opinion. New gamemodes just attract current players, more coders appeases current players, and advertising is too expensive to have a real impact on player counts. This would be highly unrealistic as there is no reason for youtubers to play brawl when there are other servers that people are familiar with and enjoy more.

3. The same as MCPVP - lack of funds. History repeats itself, and brawl is literally following the stages MCPVP went through with almost exact accuracy month by month (except 2 years later - committee (smods), revivial of an active owner (putty), EULA, new gamemodes (Siege vs wildwest), same complaints from players). I'm not even kidding about the last part, find what month MCPVP did major organizational changes in and Brawl will have done a similar major change in organization that same month/next month. I don't really have a lot of hope for brawl lasting until the summer considering how bad things got about 3-4 months ago (it's been getting better). In the end, Brawl's cash cows of War and WarZ simply aren't sustaining the rest of the gamemodes anymore, and people that aren't superactive aren't interested in donating.

4. This isn't enough time to make a significant difference. I would probably just go around throwing a couple of events with prizes and pulling harmless pranks on people (nicknames, messing with blocks/inventories temporarily, etc) with all the cool commands that admins get.

Sorry if this isn't specific, but probably players that act like "AM I BEING DETAINED? AM I BEING DETAINED? AM I BEING DETAINED?" with police and law enforcement IRL, except with mods on brawl and appeals.

 

Yeah, he's alright. The way that US media portrays him as authoritarian and corrupt is partially true, but that's more of a norm for people in power there. If you look up the top 3 political parties in Russia, (United Russia, Communist, Liberal Democratic) they all list statist or something similar on wikipedia. It's just something that the people there want, as far as I can tell. Western Media definitely blows Russia and their actions out of proportion. Russia and Putin simply want to improve the their economy and influence in the world. In the end, every country has goals that are fueled by economics, not social justice, regardless of what we like to think. He's done a pretty good job at that, but it isn't perfect. The GDP and influence of Russia grew massively from when he took power to present day russia, so he is successful.

 

Yeah, play on occasion with friends. I have about 10 hours in the game, however I don't play their ranked version.

 

I'm not really competitive in games. I just play to screw around with friends and mess around.

3. I stopped coming on for about a month or two because I got really bored with the server. I have since become interested again.

 

@icedmoca @Striker_Sly @Viva in order of preference from high to low. I would probably just want to chill and catch up on what's been happening (basically just hang out).

Also, I would add @dotcomdog to the list but they don't play and I already know them IRL.

 

I think that the gamemode is completely dead, and is unable to be brought back. Regardless, I still miss the 150+ player games from MCPVP in 2012.

I have only built stuff to submit for servers (starting with my first build map in like 2013)
