Adding Helper Rank

    We should add an Helper Rank because it would benifit the Veterans. They aren' t beening spammed, and then the new people get a little mad. An Helper rank, would obviously Help out any people that ask'em questions. Myself also have been spammed in PM's and also in chat, and it can get a little annoying, espically when your teamates and you are trying to sneak into an Rebel Base and Kill some of the campers. I am not saying that we should have an Helper Rank just for Wild West, but for the whole Brawl in- general. Finally, some of the tutorials aren't that helpful, and sometimes be outdated. For example, the Wild west just gives you the basics, not much else, and you have to learn from experience. I know that many of fellow brawlers and I would love to see this happen

    The jmod rank is the same thing as a helper rank. The role of a jmod has is to watch over chat and answer any questions a player has.

    I feel like an more in-depth tutorial would be a better solution than assigning certain players "helper" ranks. The majority of the Wild West community is already pitching in and helping players with their questions(chat-cooldown doesn't help :V), and to me a "helper rank" won't impact much. While creating a more detailed /faq and tutorial won't stop 100% of inquiries from new players, they'll diminish the amount of general questions asked considerably. In addition, colored names are generally a magnet for newer players, and a large majority of the donators are well-experienced and willing to help.

    There's also the problem with assigning this rank. If this were to be set into motion, I assume it would be through an application system. However, it would be similar to the staff system already in place. The requirements for both roles(maturity/activity/knowledgability) are the same. In a way, this concept already exists through the staff system.

    Totally agree. Instead of creating a rank designed to answer questions in chat, there should be a more indepth tutorial that explains how to play the game. I find that most questions asked are generally the same thing, so creating a tutorial that included basically /faq would greatly increase inexperienced players knowledge of the game.

    I simply paraphrased what Verlyn was saying, while adding a little more context. I did this to have a clearer way of thinking of this idea for myself, and so that I can go in later and add more.

    *Shrug* I am monochrome all my life till.. woops pipebomb.
    As Verlyn said we don't really need this rank as most of the players you see in Wild West playing regularly are knowledgeable.
    We definitely need a new tutorial showing all aspects of the game and a tutorial for new sheriffs too to make them learn doing their job even easier before moving into actually doing it. A tutorial of moving armor stands would fit well but it's hard to do.

    JMod is literally Brawl's helper rank. They get to mute for up to twelve hours, kick up to seven days, and can use /alts. They generally view chat reports and, if they spot the odd hacker using the Mark 1 Eyeball (since they don't get BrawlBot notifications) they can grab an online Mod.

    You can usually find JMods helping answer questions and teaching new players across the board, but Wild West has 1 JMod specific to that gamemode (@charlottethegirl) but multiple Mods, and two SMods. Generally the mods would be in /poof and be watching hackers or suspicious players, and the SMod (randomcitizen1) doesn't get in game often because of education (which isn't a bad thing, he can do just fine a short a manager talking with his staff.)

    I think Brawl needs a Counselor rank for 'Post Traumatic Nerf Disorder' after server updates.

    What's the point in having a helper rank? You don't need special permissions to help other players. If everyone had access to /ban, there'd be no point in having mods. Everyone has access to answering the questions of players, so there's no point in having helpers.
