Making tracer bans more efficient

You can't ban for a normal Minecraft feature.

 

This could be harder to get proof then tracers, (it's already pretty hard).

And since it is a part of the original Minecraft game, I see no reason to remove it.

 

Well, to use it efficiently you would need optifine, but that's just my experience

 

While I would like this idea, I'm affraid its not possible, its just a Minecraft feature

 

Another thing is since it's a Minecraft feature, anyone can use it, making it so nobody has the advantage. The only way it would work better is if your computer renders slowly, but you also have more lag and a bit of disadvantage in fighting. One thing I have found is if I put on shaders (allowed mod) it gives me like 10 fps and I can practically xray using f3+a.

 

I don't think its reasonable to ban for a regular minecraft feature. Though it doesn't give a total advantage, as you have to know they are there, and you have to be within 38 blocks of them (or whatever player render distance is).

 

It's definitely a reasonable request, and it would definitely be possible to see if someone is using f3+a or tracers. Especially if you can't tell one from the other, if they are looking through walls, you'd easily be able to conclude that they are using one of the other. However, our policy is to not ban for vanilla Minecraft features and does not look like it will be changing anytime soon. I personally would love if we punished for f3+a, but there are people higher up the ladder than I that feel strongly opposed to this.

Your point? It's allowed currently, and obviously I'm not going to be x-raying or tracing. It makes it a lot more difficult to see if other people are though. Also, it really sucks when you're trying to sneakily raid a base and you can f3+a-ed. Kinda ruins the whole point of cover. I've used it to try to see into buildings because you use whatever you can to survive on wildwest. Nobody plays "fair."

 

There are ways to figure out if someone Xrayed on Raid.

 

Then Half the WildWest community would be banned.

 

I might say both are minecraft features some way and I think f3+a is not supposed to let you see through walls as the glowstone glitch is not too so f3+a is like a glitch too.

 

Why don't Brawl just implement the ScreenShare system into the bans?

Because half the players will be banned within the first day.

I have been thinking about this but usually, most hackers on brawl are very blatant unlike PvP/HCF servers like Viper and Arcane where they get a lot of sneaky people using slight autoclicker and stuff. I think it would be helpful to screenshare some people who look like they have hacks but then not many brawl mods know how to screenshare.

 

Too bad @chickenputty doesn't believe in SSing.
