    Your graphics card is the main thing that affects your fps, along with the settings in your game. Also your cpu type.

    Yeah basically what was said - I'd recommend a good amount of RAM for recording since most programs of this type will suck a lot of computing power.

    honestly i have a toaster and can record tf2 and mc in 60 fps with fraps, the only problem i have is the file sizes are huge.

    The file size and quality is why I cannot recommen Fraps to anyone.

    I use Fraps but I store my recordings in a portable hard drive therefore it saves up space on my internal drive

    8GB is enough RAM to record a screen. The problem is that you @Tjocko don't have an NVIDIA GPU so Shadowplay won't work. OBS is a good recording software. You can turn off hyperthreading in your BIOS and it will increase your fps since minecraft is not a multi0core game (or I think it is not, don't take my word for it). With an AMD Radeon R7 you would probably get around 120 fps while recording if settings are at max I think.
