Idea Build UHC duels

    Build UHC is a fantastic game mode that combines tactics, strategy and PvP skill, allowing you to use blocks to create terrain to your advantage and fight in whatever style suits you. In recent years, build UHC has gained traction in the PvP community and I feel like this would be a logical addition to the kit Brawl duel options menu.

    What gear does it consist of?
    • Iconically, blocks. Usually wooden planks or cobblestone along with tools to remove them too.
    • Protection (I-II) diamond armour is common to see in build UHC
    • Power (II-III) Bow & arrows
    • Sharpness (II-III) Diamond sword
    • Fishing rod
    • 2 lava buckets
    • 2 water buckets
    • A handful of golden apples
    • A few less golden heads than golden apples
    I imagine the Elo rating for this would fall under "Vanilla 1v1", which, for some reason, the soup duels also fall under.

    Why bother? We already have loads of duel modes.
    • The current maps we have for 1v1 duels would suit this perfectly
    • Playing build UHC in 1.8 involves switching to *shudders* HyPixel HackPickle
    • A wider range of players may take interest
    • I have no doubt that it would be a popular game mode in general

    Wouldn't we have to add a whole UHC game mode for it to make sense?
    • No. Plenty of the duel modes don't have their own game mode. Besides, there are relatively few players on the ones we do have.

    Note: Build UHC is not my creation nor do I claim it to be.

    I don't see why we should add it, also we don't have an active dev to be able to code it in. I can see why you're wanting more duel kits, since some can get a little boring. But, I personally don't like Build UHC. There are other servers for it, and I don't know how well Build UHC would fit into Kit Brawl.

    Fair enough. I think if lots of players dislike it then it definitely shouldn't be added.
    As for not fitting Brawl, I think it'll do fine. You're right in saying that there are other servers for it and it's not like Brawl would be particularly innovative to add it, but I don't think it would have any less of a place than Archer 1v1s, for example.

    The duel were originally put in for the traditional 1v1 vanilla arena duels. Stuff like NoDebuff, Gapple, and Debuff were put in because of a very high demand. I was sadly not here for Kit Brawl 1.0 but when 2.0 came out, I believe it had more variety. If a large amount of people would actually want Build UHC, you would have to talk to @TheTrogs about it. But I doubt it would be put in, probably because the Kit code was made by @yqt1001 and I would think it would be difficult to edit it without re-writting certain codes.

    I personally think this would be great. However i'm not sure about copyright claims, maybe we could modify it a little to make it our own version?

    I like the idea however as Jay said we don't have an active dev for KitBrawl right now.
    I'd also like to put in that it would probably not be that popular seeing as servers with BuildUHC duels tend to normally have UHC servers to go along with them which makes those types of fights popular and if the server didn't have a full UHC server those fights would hardly be used.
    Ngl I suggested a UHC server for Brawl in the past and a lot of people seemed to like the idea.

    I think it'd be worth it to give this idea a shot. However, like said before, there's no active coder for KitBrawl so the likelihood of this happening seems slim

    While thinking of hopeful future 1v1 kits, a build UHC kit has definitely crossed my mind.
    If people are in favor of this idea, then it would definitely be something cool to add maybe in the near future.
