Suggestion for Staff Apps

Increase the limit to 250-300 so potentially good staff don't get denied for "low post count"

 

But I was accepted with 75, so that isn't always true. I like the original idea of 50. It's very possible (especially with Brawl being so dead right now) that many gamemodes don't have a lot of forums activity going on in their sections; like build. Sometimes an applicant physically can't post more in their server section.

 

The issue with this is it would cause these new players to spam the forums with pointless messages on threads in order to get their post count up. This suggestion has been made many times in the past, yet hasn't been implemented yet due to this reason (I believe).

 

Tallscot said it. This has been suggested many times in the past, but it could possibly lead to new members spamming forums to get their post count up, and then submit a bad application anyway. So no, I have to disagree with this idea as well.

Multiplied by 50. Assume 300 people apply within a week (spam apps and under the condition that interested is their first post. Then it is 300*50 which is 15,000 useless crap posts instead of 300.

 

A 5 minute cooldown... I mean I don't know, I feel like that would limit people who are fairly new for no reason. Even the one's who don't want to spam, and actually contribute in a productive way. I think it would also take a long... LONG... LONGGG... time for them to get to 50 with this restriction

 

I think it's just consistency more than anything else, you probably need over 50 still but like not so you spam but you post consistently not quite sure how Canoodle judges the applicants. But yes the people who can't be bothered to read the post should like have some sort of permission thing "You do not have the required number of posts to post on this topic". So It would stop randoms from applying maybe? Just my suggestion any who lol

 

I will have to agree with this one though how about making it so it depends from positive points? There are people that have been accepted with a low number of posts but a higher number of positive ratings. This is my suggestion.

And something more I need to add on this is that positive ratings show the maturity and the helpfulness of the applicant.

 

That's if they actually care about the server. Most people who apply with no posts only want to play the server if they get staff, and when they're denied they just quit. However, the people who actually play the server without staff, but still want it, would be the people to spam the forums with useless posts. I've seen it on several occasions, still see it sometimes today.
