Technology X299 ****Storm

Rumors of Intel's X299 have been going on since late 2016 and now that we've seen I can't help but think: "What the actual ****ing hell is Intel thinking?". For those who don't know what I'm talking about here's an article giving some details on what I'm calling the most ****ing confusing launch I have seen (then again I've only been into PCs for about 6 years). I have been keeping up on computex and I'm still confused on the purpose of the new lineup of CPUs other than to 1. compete with Ryzen. 2. Compete with the upcoming AMD threadripper or 3. Full Panic Mode Idea. An example of stupidity is WHY THE HELL ARE WE GIVEN ONE CHOICE OF BOARD WITH EVERYTHING ON IT WHEN WE CAN'T USE HALF THE **** BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE A CPU THAT SUPPORTS IT?! On a lesser not what are mainstream CPU's doing in this lineup and why the **** is the TDP on all of them so damn high that you're going to need LN2 cooling for some of them to OC. Linus' voiced to some degree what I mean in this video here . I am an not an AMD fanboy although as of right now they are looking good just like I would've preferred Intel last year
