    There was a guy whos name was 2pacca on wild west earlier today. He did not only hack (which of I have no recorded evidence and so does no one else either to my knowledge), but he threatened to ddoss and went on posting players ips in chat. Luckily we had a helpfull mod (sn4x5) on, who was able to help us out by clearing the chat when 2pacca posted ips. In the end, the stuff there was evidence off...

    - ddos threats
    - posting players real ips in chat

    ... resulted in a 7 day kick. I am ok with a ddos threat beeing 7 days (altough I think it should be a 2-6 month ban). But as he did not only threat but also post ips in chat, I think it is much more serious - he did not only threat but do actual bad stuff.

    What do you guys think? Is the current protocol strict enough?

    I don't think the rules need to be changed. This case seems like a punishment for the wrong offense. The player posted IPs in the chat which is an ILLEGAL act (like DDoSing) called DoXing. DoXing is bannable on Brawl.

    I dealt with 2Pacca when I was a JMod. Not glad to see that he's back.

    Honestly, releasing DoXes is utterly illegal and should be punished in that way: a year's ban or so.

    DDoS Threats are a 7 day ban, actual DoX is a ban. There was either not enough proof to ban for DoX or it was a mistake, but that is unrelated to the protocol.
