Idea Change to potion drop

    So, currently potion drop is one of my least favorite games so I have been thinking of ways to change it to a better gamemode.

    I currently have an idea that actually changes most of the potion drop mechanics but I think it could still be fun.

    So, instead of taking damage from poison and wither we will have iron golems in the map that move faster than the player (Or we start out with normal speed and they get speed the longer the game goes on).

    We will also have more potions than what we have now:

    -Speed potion: Gives speed 1 or 2 when you drink it for 30 sec
    -Health potion: Same effect as now (Or makes it so you can't take damage for .. sec)
    -Slowness potion: Will give everyone in a 3x3 radius slowness (Not including yourself)

    And there could be even more potions later on.

    That's all I have to improve the gamemode. I will make sure to think of some other things to improve it even better

    I don't know how I feel about this. The very idea of potion drop is to survive poison, not golems. I completely agree when you say it's your least favorite, but I think we need to find some other way to make it lively instead of changing almost everything about potion drop. If we wanted to add golems, I would just suggest making a new minigame for it.

    Instead, that if we went with another of your ideas and made it so other potions besides healing fell from the sky? There could be slowness, poison, nausea, and others mixed in and you have to use your quick thinking to either drink it or throw it away?

    Was also thinking of just other potions but don't know if it would be enough to spice up the game

    I think with a minigame server like Party we need to introduce changes slowly and in smaller pieces. Part of what gives Party its charm is the fact that they're easy to understand and quick to play. Introducing a lot of changes very quickly can push people away just as easily as bringing new ones in.
