Touching on tdaddy's third idea on how to improve the game for newer players, I wanted to elaborate on how we can teach newer players how the game is normally played by experienced players, so they too can participate fully.

The current tutorial system: You spawn in a room and cannot leave for about 15 seconds. In this room are a bunch of signs that new players never want to read. It is known that about 65% of the population are visual learners, so making people read a bunch of signs to learn how to play isn't the best way to go about it. Although there are item frames, I think there may be better methods of teaching, as well as better content.

For starters, guns are the main focus of the game. Upon entry of the room, players should have the option of going to a shooting range to test out all of the guns in the game. This shooting gallery may include zombie targets or long-range targets so players get a feel for accuracy, fire-rate, reload time, and other features of each gun so they don't have to read on the forums about the statistics of each gun, or have to spend years looting them all to find out which are the best. Before this range, players should be noted that using gun combos such as a sniper rifle + a shotgun deal damage at a faster rate than just shooting one gun at once. This will help players start faster by understanding each gun, how to use it, and perhaps what ammo is used by each.

Also, two of the most important things in the game is armor and chests. Perhaps using armor stands and chest/ender chest to visually explain their significance can help a player understand. The goal is to retain new players for eventual donation, so if they get a kicker about the perks quickly, then that's always a plus. (Ranks for ender chest, boosters for quicker diamond/easier play).

Regardless if the above information is redundant, and that players may not have a problem with reading (which shouldn't be argued. Minecraft's demographic is children, who usually don't have a high attention span), the content of the tutorial must be changed.

1.) Comboing. This is the number one aspect that needs to be taught to players to combat both players and zombies in large hoards. New players usually attempt to shoot one gun at once which gives them little chance against an experienced donor, as well as a hoard of zombies should they happen to roam in a zone 6 during a fight.

2.) Teams. A players should know what to expect when entering high zones. Everyone wants the best loot, so they will hang out in high zones to loot it. However, when someone's personal looting space is disrupted, fights break out which makes the zone dangerous. Since players don't want to loot alone in fear of others logging in, they establish teams to defend themselves. New players should know this so they are more cautious, or able to make a team themselves.

3.) Fighting. Killing players is touched on in the tutorial, but general strategy is not, and new players will not be convinced to head to the forums, make an account and visit the guide section just to learn strategy. Even simple information such as using cover to avoid being one-shot by powerful guns, or using a hoard of zombies to protect their hitbox can help so much more. Strafing and shooting and conserving ammo are just other topics apart of many that may help a new player.

4.) Lowering donation prices and emphasizing perks. New players never seem to stick with brawl because the prices are too high to experiment with, and they are left with nothing to catch a glimpse of how donated gameplay works. Players are prompted to get a rank only if they attempt to /tpa, or reach an enderchest which is almost always at a zone 6. Usually, they can't even reach these zone 6s without a team on them. Like I said, emphasizing the perks in the tutorial can help a player know the rank before they risk buying it. Lowering the price just a hint (perhaps a dollar less for vip, and boosters should NOT be $5.00. When they were $3.50, boosters were purchased almost every couple hours. We are lucky to even see 2 boosters per week.)

Ironically, this was very word heavy and I did not intend to type this much.

i agree with your main points, but i dont believe we can put donation info so openly in the tutorial because it is breaking the eula terms

I agree with all of the first things that you said, but I think all of the numbered ideas should be put in a very detailed guide that is refered to at the end of the tutorial

Yes Brawl does a good job of hiding their illegal perks and only advertising the cosmetics
