I mean, have a look at the top players in the east:
You've got Lebron, Kyrie, IT, Wall, Lowry, DeRozan, Hayward, Giannis, Whiteside, and the list drops off mightily from there. Ibaka maybe. D-Wade is too old to be relevant. The 76ers and Celtics are the only teams I see improving record wise and only by a few wins at that. Unless the heat get a major contribution from Kelly Olynyk, I doubt they play 0.500 ball.
    Now the West:
KD, Curry, Draymond, Klay, Kawhi, Harden, CP3, Blake Griffin, Westbrook, PG13, Gobert, Lillard, Boogie, Davis, Butler, KAT, Aldridge, McCollum, Jokic, Millsap, and the list goes on. Those are the best: don't sleep on the Gasol's, Michael Connelly, Wiggins, or even Rondo.

Furthermore, Lebron might up and leave the cavs (if they do poorly and don't come closer to challenging the warriors) for the spurs or the lakers and Kyrie said he's out if Bron is, probably to another team in the West.

As a Celtics fan, I'm happy that there's little standing in the team's way of appearing in the Finals, but as a fan of competitive basketball I'm appalled. Let's face it: There's no competing with the Warriors unless the Pelicans sell Boogie and Brow to a contender for role players, and Anthony Davis has been tied to the Celtics, who are in the EAST. So why is everyone trying to build a competitive roster in a division with the Warriors instead of in the East? These teams will wear each other down trying to get to the playoffs and once they do, they'll be swept by the Warriors, a team so dominant they have the luxury of losing on purpose by resting players. Nobody outside of San Antonio has a shot at competing.Meanwhile LeBron and IT will be cruising through the East, duke it out in the conference finals, and lose to the Warriors. If stars would build a roster similar to the Spurs or Rockets in the East, they could be well rested come time for the finals with the talent to actually force a series for more than 5 games.

    Thoughts?

Whatever team wins the west wins the championship. Calling it now, the west is too stacked

I disagree unless the team winning is the Warriors. If somehow the Rockets pull off the upset, for example, they'd probably lose to the Cavs or Celtics. Cavs in 6 or Celtics in 7. The Warriors, however, have a disgusting amount of talent at all the positions and a better bench than more than half the league.
