Map glitch/abuse

    Hey so i have a question. I asked 3 different junior mods if the map abuse/glitch thing that they do is banned. But they all said that it is allowed, BUT they said they weren't supposed to do it. Also all of them said that it qualified as abuse so thats why they aren't supposed to do it. But abuse is against the rules. So my question is, if abuse is not allowed, then why is map abusing for mods allowed?

    Ok u know that map glitch thing that mods do?

    well it qualifies as abuse according to the mods. and abuse isn't allowed. but why is map abusing allowed if abuse is banned?

    From my understanding, you're saying that staff were changing the maps on War, and saying that it's abuse? If that's the case, staff aren't supposed to change the map unless there's a map glitch, or War Fun Sundays. However, on occasion, they are allowed to, as long as they are not constantly doing it, and the players are alright with it.

    What you are saying is not abuse. Like @Snail_5_ has stated, this is only abuse in some cases. Did you ask them the reason why they were?

    so they can abuse their powers as long as other players are ok with it?

    well the junior mods, toki, fits_cups, and chilled all said that it is abuse

    Other players aren't ok with this, they simply would like a map change that was suggested by a moderator.

    Changing maps is only supposed to be done for bug testing. However staff will sometimes change it according to player requests just for fun.

    Well, first of all, it's not "map glitching", it's simply changing the map. Second of all, yes, before changing the map, the staff should have the OK from the players to change it. But again, it should not be something done often or without reason.

    No, your not understanding what I'm saying. What I mean is if there is a map glitch (where a map you just played the round before comes in line again) the moderator has the right to ask the player what map they would like to play due to this issue. A vote will be held in chat and a decision will be made.

    ok first of all, Snail_5_ like i said, it is done often, often enough for it to become a problem. And second of all minemuke, a vote is NEVER held in chat, the Staff member simply says, ok what map do u guys want instead of this one? And if 10 players say 1 map, and 1 player says a different map, i have constantly seen the mod choose what they want and they go for the map with the smaller amount of votes just because it is what they want.

    I'm on quite often, and rarely do I see a staff member changing the map without valid reason. If you have a problem with a specific staff member abusing, contact a Canoodled or Lord_Roke.

    Question answered, locked.
