Idea 10 second end warp

    Hi everyone! As you may have noticed there has been an update that when you jump in no matter what it will always take 10 seconds to warp, where as before it only took 10 seconds if nobody was around you. Now don't get me wrong I think that this new update is great and will save many pvpers from raging after their prey run into the end and warp. But I do feel like there is a down side to this but I understand if people disagree. This downside is that players who just want to warp normally to their farms or base still have to wait 10 seconds, I don't know about anyone else but this is rather annoying as mid way through warping a beginner suddenly comes in and starts to punch me, making me have to start warping again. Another thing is that when the dragon is alive it is so hard to warp as every two seconds the dragon will come and knock you miles. Maybe a solution to this is a combat tag kind of system so if you didn't have spawn protection in spawn or near by and you jump into the end it should take 10 seconds for them to warp but if you did have spawn protection it should just be instant as before unless you attack someone or you get attacked in the end. I'd love to what you guys have to say about this idea and new update!

    In my opinion, every change will require new strategies or at least a change on everyone's side. For example, you can counter the noobs by bringing blocks to the end so you can tower away from them. As for the ender dragon, i don't know.

    I was once warping and the dragon hit me up in the air, I died from fall damage.

    Exactly my point, instead I went flying when it swooped at me and hit me into the void

    The end is a fierce place - It isn't for the faint hearted. My main suggestion is stop using the end as a place to warp. It is a hardcore survival server, things aren't meant to be easy all the time.

    I don't think you understand. The only way to get out of the end free farming pearls or mining obby etc. Is to warp. Perhaps there could be an end exit like in HCF?

    There is an exit after the dragon is killed. Only problem is it takes us to the credits screen.

    I know, but someone can use the credits scene to get away by just staying on it forever. Also, I don't know whether by placing and sleeping in a bed somewhere in the map would change the place you spawn after going through the portal.

    Best bet is to get the portal working like that of HCF servers.

    could always make it so that with a plugin the portal gets changed into something which just tps you when you stand on it too

    There are many times that you have well over 10s between dragon swoops - If you also stand in the hub section, it is very hard to get thrown into the air. Alternatively, dig a little hole so you can't get thrown up.

    I disagree with this as lots of times since the update I have been thrown quite far while standing in the hub section. Also I think digging a little hole might help a little but if its not that deep you can still get tossed out. But I see your point

    Don't use the end to warp then, the Nether is also available.

    How can you farm in the nether for pearls?

    What do you people not understand about using the end for things other than warping?

    Agreeing with Speedcell, use the nether to warp if you're looking to just warp. Kiters won't be able to get into the nether in time to kite becuase of how long it takes to warp to the nether using the portal.

    In regards to mining obby and getting enderpearls I don't think it'd be the end of the world to wait until after the dragon is killed or kill the dragon yourself and get some juicy XP.

    Wouldn't it be better to have a warp cool down in end, so that you have to wait 3 seconds or something before you're able to warp? Then liters wouldn't have the time to wait, and when someone's nearby they have a 10 second warp.

    And to fix that people to jump into the void to warp, make it that it's a 10 second warp no matter where the person that's causing the 10 second warp is, (s)he just needs to be in the end.

    Sorry if this post is a bit messed up, I'm tired and I will forget the idea if I post it tomorrow.

    Those changes require a dedicated developer which are busy with other projects at the moment. Adding the 10 sec warp was the best solution we could come up for now.
