    I saw this bug was reported back in 2015, it is still happening. I managed to catch a villager, and iv been spawning and re-spawning it over and over again for the last 2 days and keep getting empty enchanted books.

    The problem is either with you, or the server. I would suggest change your texture pack :stuck_out_tongue:, if that doesn't I would suggest installing your minecraft again.
    Or you might have to catch another different villager.

    It's the server. I get the bug too. I think it has to do with 1.8 and stuff
