    Here's a map I spent a few hours of mcedit and minecraft working on. It is a capture-the-flag map which consists of two floating islands. One of them is a desert-like one which has custom trees as well as some sandstone structures, a sniper-tower and a secret pharaoh tomb! Can you find it? There are launch pads and thin bridges connecting it to the snow-island! The snow island has advanced terrain (just like the desert), quartz structures, custom taiga trees, a tree-sniper post and a secret ice cave! Both islands have secret passages that lead to launch pads which take you to the other island! The red-team spawn is next to the red soldier painting on the desert island. The blue-team spawn is next to the blue soldier painting on the snow island.

    All features:
    Two bridges connecting the islands, a broken bridge with launch pads on each end, epic trees, custom terrain, chopped down trees on the snow island, blown-up walls surrounding the flag posts, sniper posts for each island, specific spawn-points, close attention to detail, large islands, giant flags, secret areas, detailed island-bottoms and secret passages!

    New features: I received numerous comments on how I should improve the map. First of all, there are already tons of sponges (launch pads) on the map. But I added a tank and a jeep in the snow biome. I got rid of the paintings and item frames because that fall off when matches start. I also added a helicopter that holds a platform with four launch pads. One leads to death, another lands you on the bridge and the last two launch you to the islands. (Well putty has to program them to do that first).

    Gamemodes:
    This map is great for team games but not so much ffa types. Here are the types that could be used:

    Capture-the-Flag
    Capture the flag is the main game type that this map supports. It forces players to fight for the bridges and launch pads to create some pretty epic experiences.

    Team-Death-Match
    Team death matches are great for this map too! Players can snipe from their islands or brave the bridges and jump pads to the enemy side for lots of kills. Team death matches will surely bring lots of exhilaration to players on this map.

    Infected
    Sand n' Snow is cool for infected, too! Human players have to defend the bridges for their lives! Infected players have to try and cross the bridges or use the secret passages to sneak up on the living. But there is a problem with infected-campers. You see, lots of players tend to camp on high places or ledges, or anything really (Please don't take offense to this, but it bothers me when I see players doing this. Besides, you should vote for this map because of the places you can camp on :stuck_out_tongue:). They ususally stay in groups on places with only one entrance which will make it extremely difficult for the undead. In sure that if this map is to be published, players will group on the large fallen snow tree or the sniper-post tree. But hey, if you are one of those campers, this is quite an advantage!

    Mmm, looks good, but maybe ass more ways to get between the two areas> those two bridges can be heavily guarded...

    This seems like a good map. You should SAND it to putty so he can see it.

    I like it. Good strategic positions behind trees, but not very good for anything short range. Could be quite a good sniper map. Perhaps a third island to balance out the people camping on bridges? It could be lava/rock.

    Best map I've seen submitted in quite some time. I don't think it would be wise to try to cross the bridge if you're on server 1 where everyone uses, iso, skullcrusher, ray-gun, and cbows XD

    Edit: Add more ways to cross to the next island for there'll surely be tons of camping by the bridges.

    One great idea but make the islands around the same size also remove all paintings and item frames its a pain for putty to find them all and remove them... as you see with the new maps all those items frames and paintings yeah we don't want that happening here. Just to save putty time and stress keep paintings and items frames off the map. But i do like the Idea of the map just may want to add more over and buildings.

    I think it would be good if there was some sponges to launch yourself across.

    Looks good. I like this idea:
    It would make things a little more interesting. Those bridges are so narrow, I could ISO anyone coming through there. Maybe widen them a tad? Either way looks nice.

    Camper war, If there are no 5 blocks high fence edges, the map is gonna turn out as a trench war. Maybe add 2 more ways or make it easier to cross, aside from that map looks fine, though it might not be balanced for infect; Imagine survivors just spammin' their guns on the bridge :V

    Few more detail?! Maybe you can add some spots or decoration things...
    Looks good, and is brilliant for snipers.

    Ok so I am going to edit the current one and here is a few messages to you guys:
    Jakob243, F1r3tar, Jared252525, Signatured and Credo007lv: I actually do have sponges in this map... Just that you cant see them in the picture and I use the custom mc-warfare resourcepack which changes the texture of them. There are a total of 4 of them on the map.

    Fast 11471, Nani3108 and footyb: Will do. Just a few more structures and detail should do the trick

    sargeant55: Ok, ill get rid of em' as well as resize the desert one. What happened is that on mcedit, I put the topsoil filter one block too high which caused some of the edges to fall when I got on minecraft.
