Demote Consistently Inactive Staff Faster

    not naming either staff cause I don't want this to turn into another circlejerk thread

    Staff member for War. Wasn't online for several months beforehand.

    Staff member for CTF. Has been on the forums once over the past two+ months and hasn't been online (forums) since December 3.

    What is the point in requiring applicants to be active in all areas when some people who are already staff are active in none?

    I put consistently in the title because both of the staff I'm talking about have been inactive for a very long time. That goes beyond 'this thing is preventing me from being active' to 'being active isn't a big deal to me anymore but I like the tag'.

    Please demote them faster.

    If staff are consistently not meeting 10 hours in-game a month, or 30 forum posts a month, or don't contribute well behind the scenes, they should be demoted. As long as they meet one of these requirements, they should be allowed to stay. I know exactly which staff you were talking about here, and both of them don't meet the requirements I said above.

    Also, I'm aware that sounds dumb when we require applicants to be much more active in all areas, but:
    1. There's a difference between promoting someone to staff when we have no solid evidence they would be any good, and demoting someone who's already been a staff member and has proved to us that they could be a good staff member
    2. In my opinion, instead of forum activity being a requirement, it should just be a major factor in deciding if someone should be promoted to staff. Also, TS activity should be an absolutely irrelevant factor in deciding if someone should be promoted to staff.

    This doesn't depend on the staff member alone, the quantity of hackers too. For example take Build, it has ~0 hackers.

    We should set different requirements for each server I believe.

    Personally I'm not too bothered about how many bans people get, just how long they spend going after reports and the like. Bans are an inconsistent variable; sometimes I can be on for 3 hours and get 2 bans, and the very next week at the exact same time I can be on for 3 hours and get 15 bans.

    This would work and a good and negative way. The good way is of course demoted afk staff
    The negative is maybe they have an extremely valid reason where they had to just "go" maybe if they are gone for at least 1 month (if they hop on for one minute and leave that does t refresh it) they get demoted?

    I mean I hate to be that guy but it took far too long for aGuyInASuite to be demoted.
    A more rigorous watching program for mods is gonna be needed if you ask me.

    because hes a responsible mod who actually uses the global position as it was intended.
    anyone should be demoted if they arent doing anything.
    doesnt help that the staff manager just disappeared. oh, how brawl is just in the gutter.

    in a real job you cant just say you have to "go" and then not show up for a month. if brawl wants to maintain the least bit of professionalism it still has left (oh dear), then it has to take its staff seriously. they arent doing their jobs, or doing unnecessary crap to justify some sort of "god" complex, or just afk in general. only a handful of staff are good imo

    that's all I really know tbh I don't know why they haven't gotten demoted yet. nothing against either of them but if you don't play the server you said you'd dedicate your time to for any reason you should not be allowed to keep your rank

    oh and cuddled replace her please until she "comes back"

    If real life reasons etc. are preventing you from doing what you were put in a position to do, for a long period of time, then you should not be in that position.
