HG x vote rewards

    So we all know that vote rewards exist for most gamemodes...but then there's this:

    Hmm, that doesn't seem right.
    What I'd like to suggest (since it wouldn't take much work to implement AFAIK) is a vote reward system for HG.
    For instance, you could buy kits with maybe 200 tokens, or 300 tokens.
    Then there could be kit packages that contain 5 kits for 1k tokens, which would be a good incentive to log on regularly in order to vote.
    There could also be boosters or something to buy with voting tokens.

    1 kit for 1000 tokens would be good, otherwise I would get a new kit every two days.

    200 tokens is 4 days of voting, 2 days of voting if you have elite. It's way too little. 1000 tokens is also quite little, 20 days for normies, 10 days for elite. It's faster to vote to get kits as compared to playing for it. Maybe 2000 tokens for the best kit (like kanga, phantom) would be good.

    I'd much prefer a rental system though. Maybe about 400 tokens to rent a kit for like 3 days would be good.

    A rental system was in place on MCPvP if you remember. It worked pretty well, quite right. I'd like to see it in place again the same way as it was then though, and maybe a kit pack system like I suggested.
    You forgot something: Elite gets all kits ANYWAY Xd

    Not entirely sure how much dev time this would take, but if it'd take much then I don't think this'd be worth it.

    HG does need improvements but a lack of voting rewards are the least of the gamemode's concerns. If HG gets updated, we should focus on trying to kickstart a playerbase again rather than adding vote rewards. Vote rewards would be nice further down the line if HG starts to get players right now, but for now I don't see this being necessary.

    I agree completely here. Vote rewards are going to maintain a playerbase, not grow it. We should have ideas set up for when that does happen, but it's not the main focus at the moment.
