New Gamemode For Brawl

    NOTE: The new gamemode I will propose is something that I have previously talked to with several builders and some admins. They think it would be great and that building the structures for this will be doable.

    This new gamemode would be centered around the use of guns and modern warfare, but can also be traditional pvp.

    OBJECTIVE:
    Anyway, it will essentially be about having "nations" which will be the teams the players must join. Your objective as a nation is to capture all of the towns within the map and capture the other nations to make your victorious. Each town would be important due to what they offer. For example, a few towns will be identified as "iron towns" in which they have an iron mine. You can use the iron mine for making better armor. The same thing with towns that are identified as diamond towns. They spawn in diamonds which you can use for better armor and such. Gold and emeralds can be used for money and redstone can be used to make power railed for trains and such (like supply lines). As for ammunition, I believe that we should still use the same system, but also have areas within the nations to which you can use to gather bullets. Except for a few like pistol ammo, which requires gold nuggets. Since having a place which you can mine for gold is entirely contradictive to having to capture gold mines/towns.

    ARTILLERY:
    Now for the exciting part, in this old server that was called MCNations, they had a system like the one I am proposing but instead of guns, they were using the traditional pvp stuff. But in this system, they had items called trebuchets, which would throw tnt to wherever you shot at. The trebuchets in the nations would be placed onto of the walls, and they planned for you to be able to craft trebuchets and place them outside of nations or towns when invading. But this idea was sadly not able to make it into the game since the server closed before then. But this idea can be used for artillery. Artillery can be placed onto the walls and can be crafted for invading into towns and nations. The amount of damage tnt did to players back in MCNations would have been 5 regardless of armor. So I believe this would be a good place to start.


    EXP SYSTEM:
    The exp system will be used for various things. For example, exp can be used to level up within the game itself. Leveling up can be advantageous since it will give players access to certain perks, which they will also need to buy with exp. The only way to get exp would be via kills and capturing towns or nations.

    CAPTURE TIME:
    The capture time for nations and towns will decrease over time to prevent the game from prolonging too long. At the first 3 hours, the towns capture time will be 5 minutes. Once the time exceeds 3 hours, the towns' capture time will be just 4 minutes. In another 3 hours, the towns' capture time will decrease to 3 minutes and will stay at 3 minutes. As for the capture time for nations, within the first 5 hours, the nation capture time will be at 15 minutes. Once 5 hour are exceeded, the capture time will decrease to 13 minutes
    From there, every 2 hours will result in the capture time for the nation decreasing by 1 minute until the nation's capture time will be 5 minutes. When the nation's capture time is 5 minutes, it will no longer decrease and stay at 5 minutes.

    EVENTS:
    One event idea I would like to propose is that for every 3 hours, there will be a "DM." A nation will elect a player to play in this death match event. It will play in a small area. Once your nation wins the death match event, the player that won for your nation will be able to select perks that your nation would enjoy for 1 hour. These perks can range from being able to call wolfs, to increasing your own town's cap time by 30 seconds. Also, per every hour that passes, a nation score will be taken into account. This nation score will be from the amount of towns a nation has. Each town will be worth 100 points. Once a nation reaches a certain amount of points, they win the game. This prevents the game from dragging on too long.

    LEADERS:
    This idea can be abused many ways like the events idea. Since bots and alts can come on to vote for players that will help the enemy team or troll them. So this idea relies heavily on the staff being on to kick such players from their positions. The leader idea is that a nation will have to elect a leader every 30 minutes. In order to get leader, you must have 5 votes. If multiple players have 5 votes, whoever has the most votes will get the position. The way you can vote for leader is /leader (name).

    Leaders will be able to have multiple commands such as telling the nation to rally from one point to another, telling the nation to defend a specific town, tell the nation to attack a specific town and etc etc. I also believe that if you are a donor you could also have the ability to send in custom commands. But you will have to be of a certain rank. If you are in the winning nation as a leader, you will get bonus exp.

    TOWN/NATION BORDERS:
    A town or nation will have borders that can span from whatever distance is seen fit. I would suggest around 20-25 blocks though. If you are within the town/nation or the town/nation's border, you can not place down blocks to build. There will be certain areas within the nation/town's borders where you will be able to place down bombs to breach the nation from it's gate. Once you are outside the nation/town's border, you will be able to build whatever you want.

    This is the general idea so far. I hope that Putty get to see this. If you want to add in anything else feel free to. The map itself doesn't need to be large by any means, but has to at least have towns that contribute to each ore.

    Haven't read it yet, but I'll comment on what Brawl should be doing at the moment: rather than working on new gamemodes we should fix (and improve) the current ones.

    Will probably comment on the actual idea later
