    Ice Bear has noticed that prestige really has no benefits and if there were prestige guns it would be very unfair for the non prestige players. Ice Bear is suggesting that prestige gets access to more specialized gadgets to make players feel more individualized and maybe a few cosmetic gun reskins.

    Gadget 1: prestige 1
    ADS (active defense system)
    This is a gadget that players can place down like a C4 what it does is it defuses incoming grenades that are within 5 blocks of the gadget if it is in sight range of the gadget. However the ADS can not disable grenades that have already activated such as smoke and Molotov. This gadget is in the tacticals slot and you only get 2 of them than can disable two grenades each.

    Gadget 2: prestige 1
    DRONE
    This gadget sends a one time use drone that self destructs after using it (this deals no damage) it is pretty much the RCXD car but purely meant for scouting the drone has a 15 second life time and drives slower than the RCXD. Players get 2 of these drones.

    Gadget 3: prestige 2
    Tactical Crossbow
    This bow deals only one heart of damage if it hits a player what it is though is a Molotov launcher with a much higher range. It has the same mechanics as a bow and on impact the arrows burst into flames. Players have 3 arrows

    Gadget 4: prestige 2
    Proximity mine
    A non lethal mine that activates when a player is within 2 blocks of it. It is similar to C4 but can be thrown further on detonation it blinds for 3 seconds and makes a loud explosion to let you know it was activated this for balancing reasons has a 2 seconds arm time. Players have 2 of Proximity mines

    Weapon Reskins
    Prestige players get to reskin their gun into a gun with a 3d model some guns Ice Bear had in mind are the G36c, Cz Scorpion EVO 3, AWP, L85a2.

    Your idea has potential, but some clarification is needed.
    For the gadgets you say a player has two or three of something. Is this two or three per life, game, day, level, prestige or total?
    These weapon reskins can be done with a texture pack so a suggestion would be to create a menu with different skins of certain guns that can be unlocked a different prestiges.

    Wow, there is clearly a lot of thought that went into this. I think these are all worthy of being part of the game, they are not too overpowered, but are not too useless either. Great idea, +1!

    Ok, knowing that, I'll get started:
    Gadget 1:
    2 per life
    My main concern is that completely defusing might get bashed for being too op, so a proposal would be to have the defense system reduce the effect of all grenades, c4, etc. that explode in its radius.
    Make it an effect lasts 30 seconds.

    Gadget 2:
    I like everything about this, though 1 per live would be enough since it's a scouting drone.

    Gadget 3:
    I like it, 5 or 10 arrows though.

    Gadget 4:
    Non-lethal
    Blindness for 3 seconds
    2 seconds arm time
    But it should be thrown less distance.

    Ice Bear says your suggestion for gadget 3 is VERY op that means a player has 5 Molotov so imagine trying to pass a hallways when it is being Molotov 5 times. Ice Bear decided 3 is a fair number it is better than 2 Molotov because it has a further range but worse in the sense that it has a much longer deploy time. For gadget 2 Ice Bear says that you have 2 of them because it is a one time use Ice Bear would make it one per life if it can be reused after leaving the drone but that would be too hard to code. Ice Bear says the ADS has to be worth being used over smoke flash and molotov these have a relatively large radius and the ADS's range of 5 would still be overwhelmed by the huge radius of a molotov.

    I get you on gadget 3 now.
    3 arrows, but less explosion radius than a regular Molotov, shot distance makes up for that.

    For gadget 2, though, I'm only suggesting 1 per life because you would only use it when you are being camped, in which case you die alot, or at the beginning of a match, unless you are playing infect.

    We don't need gear that requires no skill to use such as the minigun and guns that were straight up overpowered that drove new players away. Ice Bear says that the point of these is to bring something new to the table that is not overpowered yet not useless so prestige players have more variety in their arsenal.

    Ice Bear is bumping because Ice Bear thinks this is still relevant to the topic of prestiging. Ice Bear also has a few more gadget ideas

    Gadget 5: Prestige 3
    Bear Trap
    This gadget is a gold pressure plate that is retextured to look like a bear trap. Players spawn with two of these items and can place them down on almost any surface. When these traps are stepped on they deal 3 hearts of damage and immobilizes players for up to 8 seconds or by looking straight down at the plate players can free themselves by shooting the trap. This trap can also be disabled by any teammate shooting the trap. In order to differentiate between friendly traps and enemy traps a tag will appear above it that says "friendly." The bear trap is a trap Ice Bear would not want to step into. This gadget would be perfect for placing near a flank or hallway. The reason for why it should be only one bullet to disable is that it is already punishing enough as it completely immobilizes a player and by having them look down they are very vulnerable.

    While I was manager, this kind of stuff was talked about, but nothing was done since dev work was needed elsewhere. Instead of giving them something that makes them better, or gives them better items, I think it would be cool to have some sort of shader for the guns already unlocked. For example, if you achieve prestige 1, all of your guns would be silver, prestige 2 they'd be purple, etc. I'm not sure how hard that would be to code, but the idea itself has some meaning, and some 'mobile-esk addictiveness'

    Actually this would be easy to code all it takes is to give them an entirely different item with the same stats and with a different texture. Ice Bear also mentioned that prestige players would get weapon reskins. Ice Bear says that the goal of the prestige benefits is not to have better gadgets necessarily but a larger arsenal and greater variety.

    Then you would run out of items pretty quickly if you had to do a new item for each prestige. I think we could look into this but new items wouldn't work in my opinion.

    Ice Bear says realistically people will only prestige 3 times and there are meta guns therefore we can reskin just the meta guns and there would be plenty of items

    tbh I would not want my ACR to be purple XD. changing colors would need a new texture pack. So it may be hard to do and people would use other other texture packs. and also, please come back DarkTitan_ ;-;

    @Ice_Bear1 so tru tho. ppl only will prestige 3 times cuz thats how long it takes to realize you wasted another month getting maxed lvl.

    I think people such as Lekosa1 plan to prestige as many times as they can and tbh I think I might as well. With this in mind, do the people who prestige more than three times have to put up with no benefits?

    Different durabilities can have different textures in 1.9+, which could be used if the server did a full upgrade to any version higher than 1.8, but people might complain about the combat... Overall I think this is a good idea, and as @Ice_Bear1 said, it could probably be accomplished by giving people entirely new items. I personally would prefer the previously mentioned idea of upgrading to 1.9 or higher and using durability textures as I don't use the war texture pack when playing, but again, people would rather keep the 1.8 combat than allow the server to expand upon the numerous new features at our disposal in the newer versions. Regardless, if this does happen, I think purely cosmetic perks should be looked into, and benefits that give prestige players more power over other players than they already have due to their skill level should be avoided.

    Ice Bear asks what do you think of the gadget ideas Ice Bear says that they aren’t meant to be stronger than let’s say a flash bang but to give prestige players a greater and more individualized loadout.

    I think the gadgets are a neat addition, but the only two I can see being used are the tactical crossbow and bear trap. I would assume most people would prefer throwable flashbangs and normal molotovs to the other gadgets. There's only very specific situations in which the flash-mine, ADS, and drone would come in handy IMO. Here are some individual thoughts on each gadget:

    The ADS would be nice for infect, but other than that only really is useful to the players that have exceptional reflexes and/or can predict when someone is going to use a tomahawk. Might be useful to prevent flashbangs, but overall I think people would choose flashbangs/molotovs to an item that blocks projectiles. If it doesn't work on tomahawks, then the usability drops signficantly, unless you only plan on camping.

    The recon drone is nice and all, but you can avoid having to use it by converting yourself into an "F5 Warrior", thus freeing up a slot to use a molotov or a flashbang.

    The molotov crossbow is good. It's a molotov with increased capacity, sticky upgrade, range control upgrade, and slight damage boost. What's not to like?

    For the flash-mine to be remotely useful compared to throwable flashbangs it would need to have a sound effect upon firing so that it could be used in the only situation I can think useful; camping.

    The bear trap is an absolute troll and I love it, although I probably wouldn't prestige 3 times for it. It's a nice novelty item, but I'd still prefer my C4 or a tomahawk to it. Would be useful for camping, just like the flash-mine, if a sound effect played when it was activated. Now if it was in the tactical slot...

    Obviously, this is my opinion, and someone might prefer the novelty of these gadgets opposed to the functionality. I might have missed something, but this is what I gathered upon first look.
