So I was putting in my new beQuiet Dark Rock 3 cooler, and after putting my PC back together again, my monitor gave me a "No signal" error message, no matter if I plugged my cable into the I/O shield on the motherboard or into the DVI slot on my graphics card (which is the one I use normally). My card (GIGABYTE GTX 1070) still takes power and has the fans spinning at usual RPMs (from what I can tell, who knows?), but the "EXTREME GAMING" light that normally cycles through the colour spectrum even when the system is turned off (not disconnected from the mains) is dead. I have an ASUS STRIX Z270E Gaming motherboard, 16 gigs of DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM, an i7-7700K CPU, and an EVGA 500 B power supply.
My PC worked "fine" (bad cooler) until today.
Whenever I try and power up my system my GPU has a single small flash of white light (which looks scarily like a shorted circuit) go through the area near the PSU adapter slots for the PCIe's.
I have also tried plugging the GPU into the other PCI-express slot on the MB - no change.
    Help :frowning:

Sounds like the gpu is simply broken, not much you can do about it. Do you still have warranty on it?

    I'm not sure, I'll take a look.

Sounds indeed like the GPU is broken, but have you tried removing the battery from your motherboard for a minute, then putting it back in and trying again? (unless there is no battery on the motherboard). I had a similair issue with a PC I was building for my nephew, removing the battery for a minute fixed it. (Make sure the PC is off)

Its probably the GPU but its worth a try.

Too late, I already sent it off to get a replacement card. Mindfactory said it looks and sounds a lot like a GPU malfunction.
