Disclaimer: this thread is in no way saying anything bad against the staff team or anything personal against server managers / higher ups

One thing I have always loved / pushed for was community involvement and transparency. In my opinion, the more people there are in a discussion, the more well rounded ideas become and plans usually turn out better. This is definitely something that could be improved currently imo, which is why I think community brainstorming should be a thing. On the league of legends boards, they have a system to do this by having a series of topics / proposed plans from their staff to discuss about with the community. The topics discussed are not guaranteed to happen, but has been a massive influence on gameplay and whatnot from the community's perspective as active players.

Adding this to brawl could potentially help make us feel better about being more involved / in the know about the server we love + could organize ideas better for important current topics. Topics could range from gameplay to network additions to events, whatever.

    How to implement this:

    - Could be across brawl in the general section of the forums and just have a list of things to talk about across brawl, and/or server specific
    - Definitely needs to have heavy moderation to make sure things are kept on topic to make sure things are kept constructive
    - Can be run biweekly or monthly or something so things aren't too overwhelming for staff to deal with or whatever
    - Must be communicated that the discussed topics could be changed at any time and are not guaranteed
    - Try to have server managers engaged as much as possible with this - bridge the gap
    - Potentially in the ranked forums? (not ideal, but could be a perk if really needed)

Examples of current ones could be potentially upcoming thoughts / issues needing solved for the future raid reset or whatever, any ideas on how to make more money for brawl, anything else. I know we have the ideas section of the server for this, but a large aspect of this idea is that it helps the community to feel more involved and aware of development / the staff's ideas before changes come out, and could focus more on things that have a higher likelihood to happen. It does not mean that the community will know everything happening, or that there will be no surprises, but small topics or whatever could be discussed that need attention / can be released to the community for input.

Here is an example of one for the league boards if anyone wants to look specifically at what I am referring to.

An anonymous staff feedback page is something a lot of people requested. I‘m not sure about thw staff part, but anonymous feedback would still be fantastic.

There is an anonymous feedback page (or at least according to Putty's signature). Here is the link, but I'm not sure how up-to-date it is or if it's still looked at.

In my opinion, I don't think a good community has anything to do with what your suggesting @0racle. In my experience with communities better than Brawls and with a rather good sized amount of more players and forumers is entirely based on the servers expectations and guidelines in the forums itself. Good staff and decent minded forumers helps a ton as well, but on Brawls forums...I get hate on almost everything I say and it tears other people up when it happens to them and I've seen it happen on multiple posts, It however doesn't bother me but I'm usually speaking out for the people who don't saying anything and let it happen. There's a certain way that one can hate in a decent way, you don't have to crush an idea just to get the point across you can easily deny the idea as a means of your own personal opinion.

This post looks more like a/an reorganization/overhaul of Brawls overall forum system. I agree with the idea but I don't believe in the ideas main purpose.

Ehh...there is a point in saying that many ideas aren‘t taken seriously or ignored outright by community members and staff alike (I know what it‘s like and I just have to live with it), it doesn‘t mean you can never make ideas or suggestions in the current forum system.

@ToughBadger I don't think you understood what I was saying but no worries. So I get that some people have to deal with that criticism but they really shouldn't have to. 0racles post talked about the community being better in ways of dedication and discussion over ways of improving the forums system and all that. My comment was arguing the fact that it takes more considerate criticizers to improve the functionality of minecraft server's online forums. (In my experience)

There is. Just email putty with [email protected]. Only Putty can look at that email. But idk how often he checks it. If he ever does.
