Idea Some ideas for re balancing the gamemode

    This thread is made for suggesting what could the Brawl Staff change to make WarZ a more fair gamemode, as te title says. The first thing I suggest is:
    1. Changing the prices of crops and ores. It´s well known that mining is the best way to get money right now, so I came up with 3 different ideas
    1.1 Make the crops more expensive, with all the same price of $24 (this was calculated with the ecuation of 50+30+11+20+8/5=23,8. This is explained taking the point that we sum all ores, we divide by 5, the quantity of the ores mentioned earlier, and then rounded up. Or, we can just make mining the same price as the crops, but in the long run. With this I mean we can just adapt the spawn rate of gold and iron, the best ores right now, making them more rare and not that easy to find, ensuring that the ones that mines would get more coal and diamonds instead of emeralds, gold and iron.
    1.2 The second idea is making the farms safe zones, ensuring that the new players that want to make money won't be killed and not loosing their items and money. And, it would be good too that if you want to add this idea to the game, it would be good that you make the crops a little bit more expensive, but not much more because of the non risk the plaer has when he is selling or harvesting.
    1.3 The third will sound not good and lame, and it is making crops and ores be the same price. This idea came when I saw most WarZ players go to every mine and sweep them gettting the money that the others make and dont letting them a chance to improve, someting that kills the player base. So, it is harder to kill players that make money, noit having an specific spot to go hunting.
    2.1 Rebalancing guns. This is something we all agree. There are some guns that are too powerfull and worse, very easy to get. The first one and well know in the famas. The famas is a tier 4 bursts rifle that can kill a full diamond in 2 bursts in the head, and 3-4 bursts in the same spot, but this time potted. The gun is unbalanced for one and simple reason; It Is way too easy to get one because of it's tier. My idea was, basically, make the gun less powerfull, making the mag with 18 bullets, instead of 21 and a slower rate of fire, ensuring the player doesn't die so fast or even making harder to get. WIth this I mean you can, for example, change the %45 chance to get a famas to a %15 so all players cant get acces to one, but I presonally prefer the first one.
    2.2 Another idea that I came up was the buff of a legendary gun, the scar. This gun is basically the worst thing that was ever created, not because for it's raraty or fire rate, the real thing is the lack of damage that it does. The only thing that we could say its "Positive" about the gun is the insane nockback it makes. With this idea, we couls make the scar a potencial good gun by making the damage a little bit highter, but keep in mind the hight fire rate it has, so the gun wouldn't be broken. Another
    3. And the last thing I was thinking was making the game more friendly to the new players. Despite the kits that give gear to the new players that need it and the kit money, I think the game needs some features that can help new plauers to start without leaving because of the constant War players that kills (but there are a lot of other players that kills noobs, lets be real), One thing the staff could do is changing the loot tables for the infected camps. This would sound strange, but if the gear is more rare, it could let the new players can be killed by a full diamond all the time, but the downside would be that harder for that players to start off, or just remove the enemy tracker making harder to find new players to kill. The last idea related that will be ot taken for sure is that every new player get a 2 hour "PvP Timer" that makes invulnerable the player to others guns, nades and sword, but we all know the devs wont do it anyway
    4.1 Change the guns and armors. We all know what it feels to be 1 shoted, or even get 2 tapped, so I was htinking with me and some teammates that it was a good idea to change the damages of the tier 4 guns and even the rates of spawn of armor if you dont take as a probability the first option. This is basicaly because there are some insane combos like AWP+Sawed that it might sound not a great thing, but the AWP deals a very hight dmg if you hit a shot in the head, and the sawed can deal a decent damage between 1-10 blocks bc the BBs dont spread too much. Or even the most famous, AWP+Famas is most likely death by any means. And with this I mean, you can buff the guns I mentioned earlier if you think is a viable way to balance the weapons, and then lowe a little bit the damage so the guns are not too OP, but not that bad.
    4.2 And with the posibility of the armor, its simple, you make diamond and iron more common in the infected camps, so there will be no problem in lose a set that you spent 20 minutes in getting it in less that 3 seconds. But, sadly, the iron set and diamond set is almost te same in terms of protection, just a %20 more protection, but that something it doent seems to be in the actual fights. So, you can lower the damage, make ther armors more common, ior just try to make diamond more "protective" than the iron, so we dont have the same protection but ith different rarities.

    I've already noticed that this is a big issue, especially with every money making area being PvP. An update on this will be done soon.

    Though this is a decent equation, theres a lot more factors that have to be worked in when establishing a new price. The current ones we had were temporary to test the economy. Now that we know how the economy flows, we can work on prices for the better, however, 24 G per crop may be too expensive. Ill test some prices myself, overall, I have you covered.

    Definitely a no go. This allows players to AFK for money, it essentially has 0 risk factor and will in the long run destroy the economy. Shortly after doing this, gameplay would become stale and the only action would be at infect camps; which will inevitably become a problem. Think of mines in wild west, even after there buff in price, they were still rendered useless because of the lack of PvP.

    Complete -1. Making them the same price is fairly unorganized and could cause a multitude of problems. The best way to go about fixing processing and mining is point number 1, I also have some ideas of balancing it up a bit more.

    Changing this is actually more difficult than you may think. The easiest way to go about this is switch the famas with the scar in terms of tier considering the scar is hardly useful regardless. The famas may or may not need a nerf. When it comes down to being in actual combat, many people eat canned pasta and are potted, so the famas is far more difficult to get a kill with unless you combo. However, if you're standing still and don't react to being shot, then yes, the famas is over powered.

    Option 2 is yes, a buff. I've considered nerfing the famas and buffing the scar myself, but considering a lot of the combat meta revolves around the famas now, it seems better to go about option one.

    This gamemode is extremely player friendly in my opinion. Compare it to warz, loot for hours in low zone areas to be killed instantly. Or, you are lucky enough to get to a zone 6, where a lot of very skilled players in the best gear tend to hang out for fights. Even in wild west, the complexity of making money and the long traveling distances did not make it as player friendly as the new warz.

    Theres nothing we can do about players killing new player, thats a thing in every gamemode and typically does not discourage players from staying.

    By making the diamond armor and legendary guns more rare in the loot tables, doesn't that counter act one of your other points?

    Making diamond armor rare has been taken into consideration, but you have to think about how in the beta diamond armor was not rare; because of this even if we change the loot tables now, many players who played when the gamemode first came out will still have horses and echest stacked with gear. We plan on doing a possible loot reset when we have a more stable loot table, but it will take time.

    Removing or nerfing the enemy tracker has been a big focus.

    Giving new players a grace period is not a terrible idea, but what happens to them once they die after that? 2 hours is not enough time to profit enough guns and armor to die more than 1 or even 2 times. Not only that, but extending the timer is not a possibility; making it longer than 2 hours is discouraging to new players. Some players want to immediately get into combat. Or, some warz / wild west veterans who want to immediately join the server and have never joined before can't fight for the first 2 hours.

    That's not true. @Paul has been working very hard on fixing any bugs or changing any needed data values for balancing. The reason this wouldn't be added, is because it's simply not a good idea for players to be invincible for any amount of time.

    There is no one shotting, it's been days since I got this removed. 2 tapped has always been in the game, even in wild west, you could have been 2 tapped.

    I agree that the spawn rates should be changed, but even then, like I said previously; what stops players who played before this nerf from using the horses full of tier 4-5 guns in the next fights.
    Certain combos are being worked on.

    If we buff the guns you mentioned earlier, that only leaves more room for 1 shots, unbalanced combat, and more death. Having 1 OP auto is enough, we don't need 2. Guns would need a nerf before they need a buff.

    Like I said before, making it more common or more rare is hard to consider.; Do we want more people to have dia so that combat is more balance? Or do we make it more rare so that its less likely to see it in game? The answer is very hard. By making it more common, other armor like chainmail or Iron is rendered useless. By making it more rare will work at first of course, but its inevitable to see it start leaking into the combat more often. I will work on figuring this out.

    Making armor have more protection is extremely unlikely, It's much more practical and feasible to nerf the guns rather than buff armor.

    In most of the point you are right. My idea of the crops getting a buff is something necesary because its not posible that the eco is broken by a huge gap between the two ways to make money. If you consider 24G is a lot, you have two simple options, extend the selling time for crops but using the 24 G price, making not that easy to make that money. The second option is making the two ways smake the same money, but in the long run. With this I eman that you can probably make the crops the same price as the mining, but with the difference, for example that if you sell for 15 minutes you get the same money, taking in count you sell for 15 each ore, then you sum it all, get the total G gained and last try to sell crops for 1 hour exactly. So, you will see the difference that you get. You will make the rops with the exact (or rounded up price) to make the farms and mine equal, but with the difference taht its not too op because of the usege of ALL the ores, not just the iron, gold and emeralds, the most mined because of their price. I will do the equations, but Ill need firast the times for the non rankes for selling in the two methods if his is viable.
    And, sometjing taht you probably miss understood was the fact that fio you make the farms a safe zone, you will obviously make the prices A LOT more lower, making sure that AFKing the farms is not a borken way to make money. Instead of 8 G every crop you can make 4 or even 3 G every unit so its harder to make all the farms a money maker. And lets be real, I always mine and get 20K G in a 30 minutes run including the selling, just mining iron and gold and as far as I saw for the levels and achievements there is anybody making crops, but after thispost there will be some players that will take as a valueable fact and use it for going sometimes, checking if there azre plauers making money, but at teh end you decide.
    And as I said the begigning, make crops and mining is almost a no sense. It will breake the eco in less than 1 day, but we must take some kind of ensurance that the WarZ payers get rid of the player base by going into the mines and cleaning them all, making ne playes leave for not having a real chance.

    Have in mind that this is mostly the truth. The famas as a very good damage, and it can be considered OP because of its tier and damage, but there is one litte problem; the combos that are posible in the gamemode like AWP+Sawed can take out a diamond easly if the player is less than 10 blocks away from the one that is shoting, but if teh players tanks a lot, the other one can shoot the AWP and then the famas, using the combo mechanic that there is (almost) no delay between shot the AWP and then the famas, for example. But sadly, we all know all combos can kill anybody in less that 5 seconds with just shooting 4 times, even he is potted or not. ANd with the canned food, thats the biggest lie i've ever seen. The pasta has a huge delay to eat, so they cant heal so fast, but the shiot of the AWP and M107 inthe head deals A TON of damage, so eating has a very low chance to work in a tank.
    With this what I ment was that you could make the legendary guns harder to get, making sure the first day everydoby is full with gear as you said previously, but the point is taht you make this items harder to get sothere is mor activity in camps, but there will be more players camping that spots, or make the gear more common and try to encourage pplayers to pvp a lot more, making the gamemode a little bit more interesting
    This is really necesary. @Droiid, you members are hunting down all new players and even dont let new players mine or get loot, making teh gamemode repetitive; loot and die, or loot and get killed by a logger, thing that was normal in WW and in WarZ too (change it please, make the radius max 200 blocks so its harder to search players to kill)
    And, last thing, I mentioned is almost imposible that @Paul can work in a PvP timer or grace period because he is working on this problematics of the new gm and some other stuff s fas as I know. and 2 hors was an example if the loot tables are hight as the clouds, if not the player will be given 5 hours or so, so he/she can get gear, money and horses, so he can play without problems. thats all I can say and clrify about your reply, and thanks for doing to so fast :wink:

    As stated previously, I will work on fixing this.
    I don't believe I miss understood anything, you might have left it out. AFKing to make money in a safe zone is overall not a good idea, and something I doubt will be added.
    I've out tanked the famas multiple times, and i'm not the only one. Apart from that, I've already stated that work will be done on the famas.
    Again, removing or nerfing the compass is a big focus currently.
    This is not a feature I see being useful to the game.
