Idea Starter Kit Rework

Ice Bear feels some starter kits needs some touching up.

Grenadier: This kit has a lot of things right. A primary that’s good enough that players ask to nerf? Check. A sidearm that isn’t the USP 45? Check. Plenty of lethal sand tactical? Check. A perk that matches the kit? Nope. This kit itself is fine but it would make a lot more sense to give it the grenadier perk rather than the nearly useless flak jacket. Let players be a grenadier and rely more on their nades.

First recon: Ice Bear really likes this kit it’s perk is fitting and top tier. The primary gun though it isn’t the best automatic can certainly be threatening in the right hands. To top it off it has the most versatile pistol in the game. Ice Bear loves this kit and really doesn’t think it needs change. However, Ice Bear thinks swapping the MP5 for the UMP 45. Yes Ice Bear did trash on the gun for not being worth buying but in a free kit it would be worth using. Ice Bear says this would be beneficial to new players because it gives them a taste of higher level guns and due to its lower fire rate is better for ammo conservation.

Scout Sniper: Ice Bear says this kit is very well designed and deadly in the hands of a skilled player. However, for any player starting out it is very hard for them to use. The MSR despite being a top tier weapon is too unforgiving for the average player with only 5 rounds. Ice Bear recommends giving a Dragonov instead because it has more ammo. Ice Bear also thinks that this kit should get the desert Eagle for its sidearm to give new players the opportunity to try a high level pistol.

Overwatch: This kit has the MG4 arguably the most broken weapon. Ice Bear thinks a good nerf to this kit besides nerfing the MG4 itself is to nerf the pistol by changing it to the 44 magnum. Ice Bear also thinks this kit at least deserves a perk so the perk Bandolier would be a good addition.

Riot Control: Ice Bear hears a lot of complaints against the striker but honestly Ice Bear thinks this kit is fine considering it doesn’t come with steady aim. Ice Bear does think that this kit could use a different sidearm such as the m93 raffia again to give players the opportunity to use a variety of sidearms.

Ice Bear also thinks that there should be a create a prestige class. Basically when players prestige they are able to save one load out as a class to use along with the above classes.
