Kit thoughts

    Just some super quick thoughts that popped into my head
    • Add soup refill stations - as in signs/chests that open up a "chest" GUI filled with soups (not like on MCPvP's KitPvP where you had to click for each soup)
    • Add a no-armor kit with Resistance 1 and Speed 2, but with a strong sword (think Sharp 2 or Sharp 3 diamond), maybe have it spawn with a little more soup as well, which leads me to
    • have every player start off with more soup - the reason "nobody" plays on KitBrawl is because this kit basis is just so out-dated compared to, well, every other practice FFA server out there. 1 bar is just much too luck-based and leads to a lot of frustration in regard to cleaning/kill-stealing
    • Add some more diverse kits - think Anchor or Thor or something.
    Finally, add my damager warp :rage:

      • What would the kit name be and have?
      • Name
      • Armor
      • Hotbar
      • How much soup
      • Credits and level
      • Again with how some of the kits are. Do you have suggestions for a nerf or buff? I would like to think just changing the amount for each kit but, not everyone can refill and nor does everyone know that soup heals them when they first join for some reason.
      I wish it were that simple. Also dev needed for the damager warp probably :-: sorry

    Not sure why the last quote didn't get added but, I stated about the soup/refill stations and how kt wouldn't work out due to kits being unbalanced with the amounts of soup you could have being a complete advantage.

    Yeah, I think this would be nice. And there could possibly be a 90 sec-ish cooldown on opening a chest.
    This goes well with the refilling chests. I definitely think that you should start out with more soup, as it would make the server more balanced.

    Well, I think a nice armor and sword rebalance would sort this out really easily without too much dev work (plus I think SMod+ can adjust these values, negating the need for an admin to deal with this kind of peanuts stuff)

    Do you have an suggestions to fix the kits, I am open to hear and know that some could probably be removed for new kits to be added. I'm pretty sure that SMod would be the one to edit the kits so we might have to wait for a new manager or maybe have an SMod+ help with this. What kits in your opinion need the buffs / nerfs or could be removed?

    Uhh well Pyro and Medic are useless at the moment and underplayed because of it, I think we can add Hazard or whatever it's called (Hazmat?) to that list as well

    Ninja needs a slight armor nerf IMO (reduce 2 of the Prot 2 enchants to Prot 1) and maybe also remove one of the 2 tank kits

    Personally i like hazmat due to the random potions but, yes it is under played like the others were said. Medic is very powerful imo (took less than a day with people to get a 400ks) I'll test out armor prot later today maybe and see about the ninja armor cause I don't think nerfing that wouls be good as you couls get 2 shot maybe. I'm all for removing a tank kit tbh, which one do you think? I'd say heavy since its played less than brute and brute is still strong.

    The problem I always had with soup refill stations is it meant people would run from fights to refill, lose all their soups again, run from fights to refill and repeat. It meant fights lasted way too long and often would cover several inventories of soup. Soup refill stations were first a thing very early on, when people were bad at souping and it was easy to quickdrop people, but now the vast majority of people are too good at souping for soup signs to be balanced.

    Instead of soup signs, there should be soup stations where you have to stand still for 5 seconds in them and you get a full refill. This would make it hard to get this refill in the middle of a fight and, in my opinion, is more polished than a soup sign.

    Too boring, I'd rather see kits with proper abilities.

    More soup on spawning is probably the thing I've suggested most in the staff team and I cannot understand why it's opposed. Every other relevant KitPvP server out there spawns with a full inventory of soup and at one time I literally suggested on the forums of some of the biggest KitPvP servers to have soup like Brawl's soup system, and it was strongly rejected by almost everyone. It's the sole reason I haven't been active on KitPvP.

    Kits need a complete rework tbh.

    As MoistMayonnaise and SoCool21 said, the gamemode will be very unbalanced if this was added. We already know Ninja users can easily escape from a Melee user with the speed II advantage. Imagine if there were soup refill stations! Ninja users will:
    get a hit, escape, get some soup (*repeat*).

    I agree. In my opinion, by starting off with more soup will boost the playercount on KitBrawl.

    O O F I completely forgot to reply to this.
    Here goes:
    1) Yes, the refill stations are a little problematic. The servers I play on solve this using a chest cooldown (i.e. you can get your soups once every 90 seconds), and a full inventory of soups will almost never last you 90 seconds if you're fighting.

    2) Proper abilities would be nice but apparently Brawl doesn't have a dev and has nobody with enough money to hire one (except for the 50k Fortnite tournaments of course).

    3) Brawl's KitPvP is so out of date and clunky that IMO it would take a huge overhawl of the maps, of the kits, and the mechanics to make it work properly. I think it's feasible with a little work but who am I to judge ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
