The truth behind "Mine Diamonds"

    In the song Mine Diamonds, a Minecraft part of the song Take on Me by "A-Ha", an excerpt of lyrics is "Mine diamonds (Take on me), Mine DIAMONDS! (Take on me) I'll mine them! So far I've got two." Thus it can be concluded that the person in question has now mined two diamonds. A "diamond" is a stone consisting of carbon atoms arranged in a specific lattice, and having two of them would be very valuable. Assuming that each time the narrator describes mining diamonds, he mines one diamond on each line, the statement of having two is initially true.This means that when the lyrics are repeated, the narrator now has four, and not two, but the lyrics do not change to reflect this fact. This means that the amount of diamonds described in the parody is twice what the lyrics might initially lead you to believe.
