Just to clarify, there have been threads about cross teaming but never this specific issue

When I hop on CTF, there might be a few opposite teammates hanging around our spawn or flag room. Now I don't really mind this, until it crosses the line. A couple of times I would see chemists or mages healing opposing teammates when they are trying to capture our team's flag.

Let me put this into an example, Team B player runs to Team A's flag,
    Team B reaches flag room
While another team A player is trying to kill Team B player
Team A player heals Team B player with class abilities

This situation makes it really hard to kill the other player and makes it really annoying for me and other people who feel the same

There could be multiple ways of preventing this from happening,
    1. Manually punish and catch every person who does this, this could be kind of hard to do
    2. Set a poison radius in the flag room, (kind of like flag poisoning) opposite team would periodically take damage if near flag room, also works as a line of defense
    3. Make healing and mage heal abilities do nothing to opponents

1 could be doable but like you said really hard. 2 is a little overkill. 3 is probably the best option but takes away the fun of using the enemies healing against them...

Completely agreed. There's fun, then there's crossteaming in a way that affects gameplay.

Correct, but no change is without it's cons. Overall I'd say it's worth it.

there's literally no point to cross teaming if it doesn't affect gameplay. that's what makes it fun for people who do it.

this is casual ctf we're talking about. it shouldn't be taken this seriously -1

A lot of people crossteam in a way which doesn't affect the game, they just hang out in the enemy's flagroom and don't help their own team in any way.

Also, why do people hang out in flag rooms anyway, most of the time you could just do /team red or blue
also about "casual ctf" I get that, but people still don't want to be annoyed and want to enjoy the game how it is supposed to be played

Another issue I encountered is teammates picking up the flag and doing nothing, while the opposing team lets them be, this really pauses the game and makes it extremely annoying for us who actually want to enjoy the game how it is supposed to be played

If you want to hang out go to creative please, I find it pointless to be ruining others' experience by sabotaging the game

I get targeted alot because I play the game normally by the people that play the game abnormally
so please, if you do this, acknowledge that others like to have fun by actually PLAYING the game, rather than hanging out or some other crap

    Okay

    People enjoy different things

speaking of making the game enjoyable "the way it's supposed to be played" we can start by removing Dwarf, Engineer, Necro, and Mage. None of those classes contribute anything to ctf other than toxicity and memes (not even including bugs i.e. the last THREE gamebreaking Necro glitches)

Relatable. Why can't I just play CTF the way you should play it? I get that some people get salty and angry, but you don't have to be a **** and literally target me several times and then bring along a friend to target me just because I killed you.

There's more to the story, but I don't feel like typing out an essay.

I’m going to bump this, as this is an absolutely nessescary change. I see too many times cross-teamers throwing and ruining the game.

I have not seen much of this, and i have been playing CTF for years. The heal ability means that there can be friendly players in the game.

But it might be worth changing mage heal
