    I’ve seen a lot in chat and in the forums about how everyone thinks Minecraft in general, and Raid in particular, is dying. AntVenom did a vid earlier today about that. The answer is actually pretty nuanced- yes, it legitimately feels that way, but there’s far more to the story...

    I disagree- most of the time I’m on, there are 10 or fewer players on and some folks are complaining that the server is dead. I think the video hits the nail on the head- people aren’t stopping playing Minecraft, they’re just moving onto other platforms.

    Community is a big part of why people come to this server, and the lack of KOTH for 7 months doesn’t help, as well as the broken enchanting mechanics (making it hard to grind sets for PVP). 90% of the gameplay is PVP, the community is slanted toward PVP, and the changes since the new map don’t support the community.

    Minecraft has so much more to offer than Brawl. This server is so outdated, it is a joke.

    Brawl is pretty cool and all of that, but since it isn't 1.13 (or what ever version minecraft is on right now), it's not interesting for new players. New players are used to all the amazing new stuff there is in the newer versions. Once they see Brawl, they think, oh but i want to see the dolphins (i dont know what new).

    Yes yes of course the pvpers will say "bUt EveRy Pvp SErVeRs iS 1.8!!1!" So what? The pvpers from other servers are old players. They already found the server they love. They will never come to brawl. They will stick to their own community.

    Why isn't brawl 1.11 or higher yet? I have no clue if that will actually help brawl a lot, but it might bring more younger players to raid.

    My firedsn tried joining in 1.13 and they couldnt we went over to (another server) to play party games xD

    Point is more that for lack of a better way to put it Brawl is old and rheumatic and completely stiff with arthritis thanks to a combination of uncaring staff and a lack of devs, there‘s more than enough medium to large servers out there on 1.7/1.8, Brawl just doesn‘t properly support even those versions and the wishes of their respective communities
