War Nostalgia

Bruh I got to talk to so many people on mc-war and have fun with all of them. It wasn’t only about tryharding the game it was also about having fun with it with people that you met. And now thinking about it, a lot of those people I’m never gonna talk to again and it makes me sad cause i met a bunch of dope ass people.

 

All of the friends I made along the way. Makes me sad to think that I've only stayed in contact with a handful of them ;-;

 

Same here, feels like you got to know so many people but never really asked for teamspeak etc.

 

First of all Congratz on Smod.
It's funny really. This server changed my life so much I still get reminded of it almost every day.
I will never ever forget this server and everyone on it. So many friends, great people and overall so many good memories.
I feel nothing but love for mc-war, the whole staff, putty and brawl overall. Even tho at the time I think I've been quite the pain in the ass sometimes.
The music from the time always makes me remember mc-war.
Missing the server a lot. Would love to see it grow again.

Oh yeah, I totally get nostalgic feelings all the time, and especially this time of year. Being right in the midst of a hard semester, and looking forward to all the breaks coming up (Thanksgiving and Christmas) I would always love to get on and play with friends. Here are some of the things I remember from Legacy that are super nostalgic

Pressing Tab
No other game in the history of games has made me press tab so many times. I always would press tab while playing War, just to see how many people were on, who was on, and which teams each person was on. Pressing tab and seeing 3-4 rows of players was just the best feeling ever, and I knew I had to be at the top of my game because when more people were on that meant more kill possibilities, and that meant I could get my kdr up higher. Always around this time of year lots more people would get on, and it was always great when so many people were on.

Clans
Clans were always so fun to monitor and be a part of. I would always try to get in one of the elite clans, but I never got to 100+ so I was never able to join any of them. Seeing which good players were on which clans was always fun, and the creation of clans and the disbanding of clans and all the drama was so fun. I would always try to make the biggest clan, and it took me forever to do so because WOLF was always huge (like 600+ people). I finally broke WOLF and surpassed it with NIMH (I think I achieved 800 and one point).

Making a Forum Post
Whenever I had an idea or a topic I wanted to talk about, I'd always come on here and post my ideas and thoughts. I always had such a fun time seeing how many views my threads would get, and I would always try to get ratings and make people laugh. Making threads was one of my favorite things to do, and talking about mc-war was just fantastic. It was awesome when so many people would actually be on the forums and see your post, and you'd actually have good discussions.

Try-Harding For Staff
When I first played War, Brawl was huge, and I didn't even dream of becoming staff on the server. There were like 10 servers of 70 people on war all day every day, not to mention loads of people on Party (even big youtubers would come play). After a few years of simply playing I tried to get staff, and miserably failed because I wasn't allowed on TS, and didn't even have a forums account at the time (I made one to apply). The denial was really good for me though, as whenever I played War, I always would try to be as helpful and mature as I could, and it would even take me away from playing the game if I was trying hard to help someone when a staff member was on so they'd notice me

Brawl (war) was like the best video game I ever played because there was an actual community behind it, and people that were actually there. Mineplex and Hypixel don't even have that, because their servers are so big. Coming on the the forums every now and then is awesome because I know almost everyone, and have seen almost everyone in game or had some sort of interaction with them. If I could go back in time to 2013 I would, just so I could relive all the awesome times on Brawl
