Idea Minor fixes for Lethals

    I had some ideas about minor Lethals tweeks that shouldnt require to much coding (Im not sure though), but would make them a lot better.

    C4

    C4 can be a very powerful lethal, if used correctly.
    However, i have noticed that because you cant pick it up once you placed or threw a C4 which in the end you didnt use, they are used up fairly quickly.
    My idea is, that you automatically pick your own C4 when you walk over it, or if its stuck at a wall, walk next to it, so that you can use it again, instead of just letting it sit there.

    Grenades

    A couple months ago, the fuse time for nades where shortened from 5s to 3s (if i remember correctly).
    However, its still extremely hard to get kills with nades, because players can still easily dodge it.
    I thought that it would be great, if the fuse-timer already starts when you take the Grenade in your hand. It works the same way in COD. You pin the grenade, hold it, and when you throw it, it will explode sooner because some time has already passed while you had it in your hand.

    This would allow for grenades to be used a lot more strategically, and, in theory, shouldnt require to much coding as well.

    Hmm some concerns with these ideas.
    Although C4 is annoying if thrown in the wrong location, this is one of the aspects that keeps it from being too over powered. Being able to pickup and move your C4 will make for almost guaranteed insta-kills, plus it will remove the risk of blowing yourself up in the process of using it. This sounds like a benefit, but risking causing damage to your own health bar is another thing that keeps C4 from being too over powered, as you have to use it carefully and wisely.

    The issue I see with having the grenade timer start while holding it is if someone scrolls past it in their hotbar, the timer will start. Scrolling off of it should theoretically then stop the timer, but that kind of defeats the realistic grenade-like function. Plus if someone doesn't realize they're holding their grenade, they could end up blowing themselves up.
    Perhaps a solution to this, instead of just holding the grenade to start a timer, pressing 'Q' like you would reload with a gun, instead pulls the pin on the grenade and issues the countdown.
    I also have no idea what kind of coding this would take, but this seems like an interesting new game mechanic.

    C4's are strong enough, no need to add that to its kit. Grenades are 'ok' imo as they are a great tool to flush players out or to temporarily cover flank positions. Good ideas but really aren't needed tbh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    I understand your concern that it might become to Overpowered.
    But I don't think it will reduce the risk of blowing yourself up by a lot. After all, you can still miscalculate a throw, or your C4 gets shot midair etc.

    About the grenade.
    In call of Duty it's the exact same way. And as McWar is meant to be a Minecraft version of the game, it should strive to represent it in the most accurate way, imo.

    I agree that pinning the grenade with "Drop key" can probably prevent suicides with nades. I really like that idea.
    Although one could say that by being able to decide when to "Pin" the grenade, it makes it even more powerful than when the timer automatically starts in your hand.

    War 2.0 was meant to be like an accurate representation of COD but that has been disregarded completely. Most enjoy the return of jump shooting anyway (I definitely do for pure nostalgic reasons and for the fact that you can play more aggressively and fast paced, its a completely different game with no recoil). It may well could be "the exact same way" if there was more dev time but until then all we can do is suggest ideas and hope they get added soon.
