    Whats up guys.

Actually, i only wanted to do this Thread after talking to Signatured if my ideas were even possible, but as he hasnt bothered to answer to this day, i figured i'd do it anyways.

We all know there are certain Guns that simply are more Powerful than others. Most of them are only available at a high level. Now, while this in itself isnt that bad, because it rewards players that put time and effort into theg game, currently all it does, is increasing the Skill-Gap between Rookies and Experienced Players.

One mechanic of the game is, that you dont drop all your stuff when you die. As far as i understand, thats probably due to some command.

    1) My first idea is, to simply deactivate the command for certain slots in our Inventory, specifically for the Main Gun and its ammunition. That way, Players can simply drop their current Weapon, and pick up the new one from the Ground.
To prevent "unlimited" ammo through picking up a new weapon every time you're dry, we could make it so, that you're only able to drop the weapon if there is still 20% of your initial ammo in your inventory.

In my opinion, this would help Rookies to fight more effectively against experienced Players, because they actually have the chance to pick up a better weapon and already gaining some experience with it, instead of having to grind for it, buy it and then realize you dont really like it.

    2) Semtex. This has already been discussed in the Discord, but i've had the idea for some time now. Why not give a simple grenade, C4's proporties? That way, it can stick to a wall and make Grenades more useful than just using them to flush out a player.

Obviously, i have no idea how the code works. I can only imagine it.
But perhaps, this wont need a lot coding, because the code is already there and would simply need a re-assignment to a new place?

The first idea would require quite a bit of coding, as it's not just a command to deactivate. This would be quite decently complicated. The semtex is halfway feasible, as grenades are there own separate files, but at the same time C4 is hardcoded into the game, so I'm not quite sure if it's something we'd be able to do without a developer.

Is there a way to just copy the line that makes C4 stick to walls and paste it into the grenade's files?

It's a little more complicated than that unfortunately.

couldnt you utilize the crossbow function like on legacy and new warz, re texture the arrow to be a semtex, throw it and the arrow just lands and stick wherever and blows up after a set amount of time, that could be done without a developer.

I don't think so. As far as I know, the legacy code isn't compatible with 2.0 code. You would have to re-code the line to make it work in 2.0

Good ideas... but I'd agree that it's to no avail. Imagine Signatured actually coming back!...
