    Hello everyone,
Brawl in my opinion still has lots of potential it just needs to be set in the right direction. Over the last couple weeks I've took the time to write out some of my thoughts. I've come up with a couple ideas that may help contribute to repopulating the server, and instead of spamming the forums with a bunch of threads, I've condensed it all down to this one. Here it is.

    Build
Ok, let's talk about build. Although It's a really good game mode for the creative mode casual players (imo). I do find that we can do a lot more. Build throughout the day gets max 10 players at a time but it is pretty silent, nothing happens, and players just go on their way building their things. For the average player I'd say that it gets pretty stale. That's why I feel that build could really benefit from a little bit of spice. I think we should bring back in game build events like we've done far in the past such as build competitions. These would last the entire month (or whatever time frame we want) and winner would win a prize like elite or something and be featured in the brawl news. Build also produces a lot of casual ctf maps from the community, for players to play on, so why not have "build competitions" by category depending on what the staff team is looking for, doesn't have to be ctf maps, that was just a suggestion. Like halloween spawns, party maps, ctf maps, etc. IMO this can help "freshen" up the game throughout all the servers as we'll have more maps to play on. I think Build and Brawl as a whole will benefit from something remotely on these lines, and it might even interest more people in playing.
    Party
Party. This server has so much potential, yet no one touches it. It is the most interesting game mode we have for casuals, it's interactive, creative and overall fun for the community. The maps are fun, mini games are creative but the game modes on there are the exact same as they were years ago. Party literally hasn't changed in years. In my opinion, (and I know me just saying this won't change anything) we need more. This doesn't need to be just new games (although that'll be a plus) but even things like new Mario Kart tracks, new One in the chamber maps. Just new maps in general will freshen it up. Party has the potential to grow, I know it, everyone else knows it, It just hasn't. And I get it, coming up with new ideas for mini games is hard, trust me, I've done it. So maybe if the staff took suggestions for new mini games, maybe that would help out a little bit? As for new maps, we could use my previous build idea to get the build community inspired and involved.
    War
IMO, as sad as it is, war should shut down non-perminatly. These days I honestly Never see anyone ever playing it making it unplayable. I think we temporarily get rid of it and replace it with something else. If Brawls numbers get back up to the point where it's playable, we can bring it back. It's hard to get rid of it considering the nostalgia but that put aside. For now, it's time to say goodbye and make way for something new imo
    Something new
Ok, this is just a suggestion, I think brawl can benefit from a new game mode replacing War I don't expect it to be added.
I've had this idea on the back burner for quite some time. It's a 10-50 player co-op based survival game. Basically there are 2 phases. first wave is prep time (about 5 mins?) after there will be a wave of hostile mobs like zombies, skeletons, spiders, creepers attacking your "camp" that scale as you progress. These waves alternate until everyone is dead or the final boss is defeated (wither) in which a prize of tokens (or something) will be awarded to each surviving player. In order to progress, you're gonna need defenses, gear, (maybe guns from the war plugin??????) That's why there's classes, Miner, Blacksmith, Builder and Farmer/lumberjack (we can add more roles). You could play any one of these roles to aid your group. During battle phase, The mine gets shut and work tables are inaccessible. Basically everyone is around to fight off the horde.

The Roles (we can expand on them)

    - Miners will collect materials such as cobblestone which can be dropped off to the builders to build walls and defenses. They can also collect materials like iron and diamonds to give to the blacksmith, in order to create swords and armor.
    - Blacksmiths will take the materials gathered from the Miners and farmers to create swords, bows (using string dropped by spiders), arrows and armor for a better chance of survival.
    - Builders can dig trenches, build walls using shovels provided by the blacksmith, and blocks provided by miners.
    for wool.
    - Farmers gather wood for sticks, and kill cows provided by spawners for food. (steak heals you just like in ctf).

You can use your tokens you've won to upgrade your classes ex: miner starts with efficiency 1 iron pick or blacksmith starts with better armor.
    The waves (mobs)
    - Zombies - Attacks player. 2x faster than normal after round 5, base health, base damage. gives slowness and hunger effect.
    - Skeletons - Attacks player from afar. base damage base health. deals bleed damage.
    - Spiders - Climb your walls, gives slowness and poison.
    - Creepers - blows holes in walls to allow mobs through. prioritizes cobblestone(what walls will be
made of) will target players. Stuns upon explosion.

So that's my game mode. Feel free to add on to it.

I know that the server probably won't ever get back to the way it was. These were just my ideas and you're welcome to expand on them. If you're gonna reply please let me know which one you're replying to.

Hi! I felt like discussing and adding some of my ideas and opinions to what you’ve written, so here goes. It may be a bit of a long read, so I made sure to divide it up if anyone feels like taking a look.

    Build
I enjoy the Build Server the way it is due to the calm environment that it produces. Yet, I think the idea of having build competitions more frequently is the start of a decent idea to make the game mode a little more active. As for your ideas on the themes of the build competitions, I do have to say that there is a large influx of CTF maps that are in the midst of being created and that have been submitted. This makes me think that perhaps a build competition in which you create a CTF map isn't the best idea unless there is a very specific theme that players have to work with. In addition, for the idea of building competitions with Halloween spawns and party maps, I believe that the Build Team is responsible for those creations, so I wonder if that would even be a possibility. Nonetheless, I think your ideas for Build are off to a good start, and they don’t tamper with the current dynamic of the build server that many seem to be in favor of.

    Party
For the most part, I agree with your thoughts and opinions on Party. I definitely think that new minigames are needed to freshen up the game mode and to make it a little more enticing for individuals that are already familiar with what it has to offer. Just some quickly thought ideas that I have for new mini-games (or at least very broad ideas for possible ones) are a maze race, a memory game, hide and seek, elytra race, and even a PVP team vs team idea where the players are split up into two teams, the winning team being the one with the last person left. It’d also be interesting if Party had all of their mini-games split up into two rotations, with the rotations changing around every two weeks, to ensure the “freshness” of the games offered. Another idea (separate from new minigames) that I have for Party is a possible level-up system with the more wins or high scores that you get on games, the more your level can be increased. (There could be tags won as you level up, or you could just have bragging rights for being at the top.) I say this because, in the end, it’s always nice to be working towards a goal (i.e. working for buying a new CTF kit or earning a place on the CTF leaderboards), so having something along those lines could make more people interested in playing and in staying.

    New Game
This idea for a game mode sounds promising and it is something that I would be down to try out. My first thought concerning it is that, based on how you described this potential game mode, anything above 20 players seems to be a lot. I could easily see the game mode being effortlessly defeated with that amount of players, unless difficulty increases with the more players you have or if the players are split up into teams. Besides that, the rest of my thoughts on it are mainly just suggestions. I think it’d be nice if the skeleton wave included wither skeletons, if there was a nether round in which ghasts or blazes attacked, and even if dragons were included somewhere along the road. Furthermore, I think a potential role along the lines of a brewer or witch should be considered, with them having access to a small nether world to create potions of regeneration, fire resistance, etc. for those around them.

I agree with pretty much everything you said here. Everything you added on sounds pretty promising.
    For Build
I agree, maybe maps ctf maybe aren't the best idea to start with (maybe party ones?) Maybe in terms of build competitions or events in general should be built along some sort of a theme, like for Christmas it would be Christmas themed. To keep it fair I think a voting system should be implemented where players and staff can vote for who wins.

    Party
Everything said I will agree on. I have one issue with rotating games though. I'm just worried if we did do a rotation system so frequently that, people would run out of creativity "energy" eventually. Unless maybe if we had a group of 20 or so different games where we keep the popular ones in and cycle in and out a few at a time. I also really think a voting system for what game is next could be neat. Kind of like in COD, when you're in a queue, and there's two maps you can vote for or choose random.

    New Game

I like the scaling difficulty based off amount players a lot. Like if there's say 5 people in, mobs won't give status effects like bleed or do less damage. A nether round could be cool too, maybe if we had it trigger every 3 rounds. I like the idea of ghasts coming by and blowing your base up while pig men rush in. It makes it more necessary for the blacksmith to be craft bows for everyone. Overall It sounds pretty interesting to me. As for the brewer, I think it would be interesting but I think having 2 nether roles would be needed for that. Maybe a Demon, runs into the nether where there's a small nether fortress containing warts, blazes, etc. He grabs nether supplies to then deliver to the "brewer" to make potions for everyone.
