Is Raid worth starting?

For a newer player, yes, we are at an ideal amount of players for newer players to start learning the gamemode. For older players, no, since it at the moment there is little to no veteran activity and those few who are active would be tracking and destroying newer players in PvP, and there's no fun in not having a challenge. There are people out there who are willing to teach you the more advanced tricks to the gamemode though, you just have to seek them out.

Yes. Using an alternate account will get around a regular lifetime ban for a hacked client and such. It is not encouraged, but it is allowed. You are better off just appealing your ban though, as any misbehavior and rule violations will be treated as if your friend was the one playing on the account. Anything that you do, he will also be responsible for, if he chooses to play on Brawl in the future.

As someone who played both old mcpvp and survival pvp I can directly tell you that it was always a two-team battle, eventually a third team at times, but not more than that (if you're only talking about dominant teams). The team scene now and then is not very different, with the only difference being that the teams back in the day were a lot bigger with more players on each team. Everyone was just as scared back then (when it comes to iron pvp), but instead, if they were killed by a p4 in iron, they got their team and killed the p4.

Iron PvP right now is a bit broken because of an issue with the Strength potion, which will be fixed once we get the resources too - although introduced with the 1.16 beta-map, this is not an issue that is limited to the newer versions - strength potions have always been nerfed, but the 1.16 update broke our nerf, which will have to be recoded.

 

atm, I'm not sure if there even is a dominant team anymore. no one is going for Koth and I haven't seen any p4 fight in days. no one tracking as well and Idk what you can do when you log on at this point.
