Gotta give credit where credit is due. this was my FAVORITE server to go on and the FIRST ive ever found and a major impact on EVERYONES childhoods. and it does make me happy to see that people are still here even after all these years later.

There was plenty of rough times. and there was plenty of times it was so fun i wished it wouldnt end, and i'd do it all over again.

Whoa... It's harsh to see that Brawl had to shut down like this. My sporadic ventures into CTF especially between Brawl and MCPvP always seemed to notice tweaks and changes and even a complete exchange of control but a total END is admittedly a bit jarring. I definitely miss the days of casual CTF...even as far back as teaching the flying full-diamond-clad hacked-code-cheaty players on McPVP some well-deserved lessons in the sting of a sudden and seemingly unfair death -- but by the legit, fair, and allowed methods of the archer class's headshot (later more fittingly called "snipe" of course) rather than by unreasonable stats and abilities. Godlike armor and godlike hit points? Big deal. Still instantly killed when CTF rules apply and an archer knows a thing or two about landing arced shots. Warp back to spawn like your innocent victims had to.

But seriously, I hope the last weeks of Brawl were enjoyable enough for those who have regularly persisted rather than being nothing but a depressing wasteland long term. Personally I think the Java updates for later versions of Minecraft became my initial leave from Brawl since it had always seemed to work best on the older version of Minecraft (which needed the older version of Java as well). If anyone can figure out the painstaking task of encoding all the CTF class behavior and game mechanics to work in a more recent version of Minecraft and implement that as a sort of "Brawl CTF Resurrection Project" someday in the future, I could see it proving to be quite popular. Just saying (hint, hint, former development team and other coders who may happen to read this).

Shame that I've waited too long to try returning. There are a handful of players I've had particular fun teaming up and joking around with - as well as a handful who I've had particular fun competing against and constantly testing each other's skills (and patience) with. Fast paced PvP is definitely a fun way to spend one's free time - and without MCPvP and Brawl it certainly won't be quite the same. Even things like Call of Duty and Fortnite just don't hold a candle to what MCPvP and Brawl have done to Minecraft.

R.I.P. Brawl... ...and R.I.P. again, MCPvP... And to both: Good games... Well played.
