How to make custom maps?

    I really want to make custom maps, but I have no idea on how to save them and upload them to mediafire etc. Any help appreciated. Lets start with am I going to upload a whole world or just the map area

    Posting the map!

    This is tricky, so do EXACTLY as i say.
    Download this http://winrar.soft32.com/free-downl...758&pl=&ds=s&gclid=CKTJmraK_rgCFUui4AodzE0A-Q (winrar)
    Once you have that, go to here http://www.mediafire.com/
    Mediafire is a (for lack of better word) "File Sharing" website (it is legal.) Sign up for it.
    Go to your .minecraft folder. (local disk>users>(your computer username)>appdata>roaming>.minecraft)
    Go to saves.
    Click on whatever you named your map.
    Drag that file to your desktop.
    Right click it, then click "Add to archive"
    Then go to mediafire.
    Drag the zipped file over to mediafire.
    Copy the URL of the website over to here.
    DONE!

    (Just a hint, don't install WebCake. Useless and pointless crap.)

    To get to .minecraft faster just do %appdata& btw, but how do I save the map/world

    It auto saves if you click "Quit Game and Save"

    probably. Might wanna make it super flat. MUCH easier to edit...

    Ya lol, if only I had world edit in single player now...

    Np, and there is WE for single player. Look up single player commands and click the video.

    Any ideas for a pathway block, can't use gravel because it will fall

    place blocks underneath the gravel so it wont fall.
