Idea Bounties

I think it's a bit stupid to put a bounty on someone for instance because he stole your stuff. The guy who kills him gets your gold and the stuff he stole from you... If bounties are to be added they should be more useful

I like it, we would see more hunting teams whose soul goal is to find and track people. This would also encourage players to become more nomadic, and begin to track whenever they can.

 

Offtopic: Not to be offensive, but that was kind of inmature.
Ontopic: Since my computer don't work yet, I had not the chance to play on the new server. But it sounds like a good idea.

On topic: If you suicide, Phinary would never let you have the bounty.

They're your friends, why would they kill you? (unless they like betraying v: )
But then, they wouldn't be your friends, they would be enemies.

 

Because then they get the bounty. It's not like your friends set the bounty :V

 

Well, this is how bounties will work in the game pretty much. I will be the bounty for example.
1) Put all my items in a chest.
2) Set a warp.
3) Have my team kill me. If you make it so you can not earn a reward from someone in your team, all you have to do is leave and then rejoin after the reward is obtained.
4) Warp back.
5) Have the person who killed you withdraw the reward, and divide it amongst your team. Easy gold.
This is why this will not work the best. I see where you are coming from, and I really like the idea of having this, but it might not work effectively. You would have to code it a certain way to prevent this, but there will always be that one loop hole. Hopefully, we can create a full proof system.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong: So person A sets a bounty on person B. Then, when person C kills person B, money from person A gets taken away from their balance and given to person C? If that's the case....if someone with a bounty was to be murdered, the person who died wouldn't lose any money (referring to teawithchoco's post about the idea being stupid, etc.)

 

That's right. I think that's how bounties work, though.
