Add helpful as rating

    Hey so today i asked myself how could i rate someone who helped me. Useful hmmmnah informative nahh.
    So i decided to do this Thread here to ask you if you would like to see the rating helpful as a rating.
    It could show on the wall a member like this:
    Positive ratings received:
    53
    Neutral ratings received:
    8
    Negative ratings received:
    8
    Helpful ratings received:
    ....
    (So admins can see if your really trying to help or not)
    I hope you like the idear :smile:

    Yes, this would work. Useful is put up as it was useful for doing such. It was added to guides mostly, but helpful would mean that it helped doing or finishing something. Useful and Helpful are 2 different things. I agree with you, marcel. This has to be added.

    Could you give an example of when the "Informative" and "Useful" rating would not be used, but "Helpful" would? I think Informative and Useful pretty much take care of it, but if you have a situation where it doesn't, please tell me.

    That is kind of the point of the "Useful" and "Informative" button. I can see why you came up with this, I just don't think it is needed at the moment.

    You guys aren't really understanding. He's saying (from what I'm getting) is that they're should be a subdivision of Positive ratings named 'Helpful'. This is where Useful/Informative would be rallied. Marcel, tell me if this is what you were thinking of. Thanks for this great idea, though! I wouldn't mind this being there, for reference and such. Great thinking, Marcel!

    Also, the point about admins seeing you are helpful or not by checking your rating stats...
    Anyone can create another account on a different email / get a friend to rate a lot of their posts.
    Or anyone can suddenly get hate for whatever reason and have a lot of their posts disliked for no reason..
    So checking rating stats isn't really a great way of judging what someone is like on the forums.
