    Ok so I have been dealing with this since I updated to 1.7.2. My problem is that sometimes I can't see parts of water when flowing or still and when I try to pick up/place water it immediately places or picks up the water. I also can't see parts of stained glass or ice, some show up and others are completely transparent. I do not use any texture packs or mods EXCEPT for optifine.

    Have you tried turning off/uninstalling optifine?
