My true thoughts on Mc-War.

Its seems to be that this is the mos serious discussion ever on forums.
I have to agree with nearly all of you, its very sad to see how Mc-War changed.

But I think there is a simple thing that could bring a lot of new life, fun and balance into Mc-War:

The Update

And please don't say now, oh the update, dream on, it will never come.
I know that it hasn't been coming for a very long time, but apparently it will once, and I think it would change Mc-War totally.

Clans would be reset, so there would be many new clans, new chances and all.

There would be a map voting system, so no1 can say "Oh no not this map".

There would be new weapons, so atleast for a while we would have new stuff to try out.

Raygun, C4 and CBow would be nerfed, which means that they wouldn't be OP anymore which would also reduce the donor noob calling.

Overall I think that we definitely need the Update, and we need it soon if we don't want the Mc-War community to became worse. @orange451

To be honest, I really dislike the raygun. That is why I would never get it. I know how frustrated I get when I get mauled by about 5 Rayguns all trained on me, so why would I want to frustrate other people the same way?

I do agree with you though.

 

I agree, when I got the yellow tag, it was far more special. It was 1-3 yellow tags on at once. Those was really respected.

When I got LAW, Minigun and Flamethrower it was special too, it was no such thing as "LAW NUB!".

Thats why i loved minestrike so much. No pay-to-win, only pure skill.

 

I am firstly going to state that c4 in infect is not too bad, at least it makes it less of an xp farm :V
Mc-war has changed a lot, back a long time ago mc-war was full of respectable players, a lot of those players are now gone...
What we have now is people who kill people left right and center spamming their c-bow calling everyone who kills them hackers and anyone who is using a weapon they don't like (iso) a noob or iso noob.
I remember when I first joined the server insults where fairly uncommon (believe it or not there was once a time when you weren't hearing insults every 2 seconds), I believe joey was the one who started this "iso noob" bull****, though he was spamming c-bow 24/7.
Overall Mc-war has become rather ****ty between all the insults and all these people using weapons that give them unfair advantages.

You know when it's pay2win when someone with c-bow on aftermath is spamming c-bow around a corner and no one can kill him resulting in him nuking...

Despite me donating for both I would actually love to see this, 1 problem...
All the people who rely on their raygun and c-bow to have any sort of hope of getting a somewhat good score (90% of the community) will be *****ing non stop about how unfair it is that they can no longer use their precious c-bow and raygun. They will never get removed though as they are a way for the server to make money.

 

In my opinion there is another problem except for the op weapons. The new maps: toy-story, valhalla, halo-outpost and some others. I usualy quit when these maps come, they are not war maps at all.

Moko speaks the truth, the most overpowered gun now is the cbow, and those "cbow noobs" tell others iso noob.
I bet @jkzoom has been called a iso noob ALOT. I must agree, I almost never use the cbow now.... And the minifun is fun, nuked on aftermath with it by running around.

Ok, here goes. I have a lot to say about this.

I do not believe that weapons ruin the joy of others. I believe that we allow these weapons to ruin our joy. Everyone, myself included, is guilty of raging. :V But it is our fault, not the weapons. Nevertheless, I see where you are coming from Mokolee. I agree with you that there is a lot wrong with some of these weapons. Because of some of these issues, a multitude of players believe that they have a reason to get angry when they are killed by these weapons. This still does not change the fact that it is the players fault for getting angry however.

I find this question funny because my answer is: no I have not seen anyone overusing a minigun on an Mc-war server... other than myself. I am the perfect exception to this statement. As I am reading this I am thinking "Yes, I overuse the minigun sometimes. Yes, I use the Minigun every time there is an Infect even though I have both the ray and crossbow. Yes, I use the Minigun in tdm and ctf... etc" Also, while I don't see many c-bow users in Plaza, I always see ray guns in aftermath. How about toystory Mokolee? You forgot to rant about toystory inf. I won't go into it, but if anything needs ranting it is toystroy inf.

I find what you say here interesting. I am curious, do you mean that these weapons are unfair in tdm and ctf, or only infect? Well, here is what I think. I believe that compared to the LAW and the Ray in infect, the crossbow is not that bad. I don't find it to be very effective when a hoard of zombies are rushing you. You are overrun too easily. As for the LAW, I don't find that this is much of an issue either. While I agree with you that yes, it is effortless, it doesn't have the rate of fire to help you survive. I find that the only time that the LAW is an issue is when someone is camping in an impossible to reach area no-scoping everyone (like toystory). The main issue here is the Raygun. That thing is a monster and in my opinion, the Ray has ruined infect. Mc-war's infect was never meant to be players sitting on an overhang nonchalantly no-scoping every zombie in sight with a ridiculous rate-of-fire and astounding accuracy! This is what has to come to a stop. Now, about C4. I believe C4 is slightly overpowered. Nevertheless, can you imagine infect without it? The Zombies hardly have a change as it is! C4 is that only thing preventing their complete and total annihilation by the Raygun! If the Zombies could not be one-shot-killed by explosive weapons, then C4 would be unfair. However, as it is the Zombies are at a huge disadvantage and C4 helps to even the playing field a bit.

Yeah, I have never understood the whole (Insert gun here) N00b thing. This is one of the most immature things on the server. I rank it right below the disgusting and crude behavior and speech of a lot of players. I am glad there are not many players yelling Cbow N00b. I mean seriously, players these days will call anything nooby. It is unnecessary and many players find it annoying.

How about nobody is a noob? Although I do agree with you that you don't have to aim with the Raygun at all.

This is where I think you may be a bit wrong. Here is how it works. First, the donors dominate the new players. Then the new players see the destructive power of donor weapons and want that power for themselves. Then, they go and buy themselves donor weapons, dominate new players, and it all starts over again. My conclusion is this. This current situation in War is serving the servers wallet, not the community. I am sure that this is not intentional, but to an extent it is true.

I disagree. I believe that clans are a big part of Mc-war. I am sure that they were created with the intention of creating little groups to bond players, however, you are right, clans are nothing like this nowadays. As for what you said about clans looking good, I don't believe that some clans even care about their reputation if they can dominate and rule the server. Another thing, I am not sure what you mean by this statement: "Unfortunately, most clans have donors as well who are most likely to ruin the reputation of the server." Can you please elaborate?

Just curious, why are you fine with these clans?

Oh for the days when the yellow name-tag actually meant something. I wish those days could return, but such is the nature of things as this: they cannot last forever. You are right Mokolee. The fact that you can donate for the name-tag says it all. I am sorry to hear that you are starting to hate Mc-war.

The forum members here are the hope for Mc-Brawl as a whole. You guys are awesome. Moderators, I salute you. You are the backbone of Mc-Brawl. You should be proud of yourselves! Anyways, I am glad to see that you are staying here Mokolee. The forums wouldn't be the same without a Freakachu making people laugh.

In what way will the cbow be nerfed? I can't think of anyway, it does need bow skills. I don't think that the damage will be nerfed.

 

Lower explosion range maybe?

 

Naaa, no-one would like it because long-ranged kills fills you with satisfactory. Maybe HARDCORE recoil?

 

All crossbow users wouldn't like it.
All the people who get killed by it constantly would love it.

 

What about an actual reload?? Like 2-3 seconds each arrow?
